Mrs. Jesse W. Eidson

daughter, Miss Deborah Anne
Eidson, to Mr. James Anthony
Classen, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Edwin F. Classen of York,
Pennsylvania.
Miss Eidson is the daughter of
the late Mr. Jesse W. Eidson.
The bride-elect is a December

Jeanne Sherree Hooks to Mr.
Wayne Mitchell Jones, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Donald E. Jones,
Sr. of Griffin.

The bride-elect is a 1974
graduate of Griffin High School
and is presently attending The
Bryman School in Atlanta.
Miss Monica Graham
marries Mr. Jacolis
Mr. and Mrs. Guy Graham of
Meansville announce the
marriage of their daughter,
Miss Mary Monica Graham, to
Mr. William Clayton Jacolis,
son of Mr. and Mrs. A. L.
Jacolis of Nashville, Tennessee.
The couple was married in the
presence of their families on
December 26 at Glenn
Memorial United Methodist
Church in Atlanta. Dr. I-arry
Bawman officiated.
Mr. and Mrs. Jacolis will
reside in Atlanta.

1976 graduate of the Georgia
Institute of Technology with a
bachelor of science in industrial
management. Miss Eidson was
a member of Alpha Xi Delta
Sorority at Georgia Tech.
Mr. Classen graduated with
highest honors with a bachelor
of science degree in Biology
from the Georgia Institute of
Technology in June 1976. At
Mr. Jones is the grandson of
Mrs. Felix Jones and the late
Mr. Jones of Griffin and Mr.
and Mrs. J. S. McDonald of
Griffin and the late Mr. W. E.
Ridley of Griffin.

attended Gordon Junior
. College. Mr. Jones is presently

Industries in Griffin.
<The wedding will take place
January 29 at 6 o'clock in the
evening at Southside Baptist
Church in Griffin. All friends
and relatives are invited.
Mrs. Clayton Jacolis
didn’t do too well this year in
politics. Bella Abzug? No.
Jennie F. Cave, 71-year-old
rpayor of Norwalk, Conn. The
mayor isn’t discouraged
though. It takes a lot to dis
courage her. She ran for of
fice six tiroes before winning.
“Actual*4,Kwe did fairly
well in the old just after
winning the frarvlk e,” says
Mayor Cave, but the
tum quickly slowed. ‘‘There
are so few women in Con
gress.”
Cave was careful in esti
mating why women hadn’t
advanced politically in the
1976 election. “It goes back to
tradition ... the woman’s
place is in the home. A lot of
people still feel that way.”
Cave feels confident that
many voters are awakening
to the idea that women can
take care of their home re
sponsibilities and be respon
sible in city hall, the state
house, or in Washington, as
well. "But it takes time. Full
realization may take a couple
of decades.”

Georgia Tech he was a member
of Beta Theta Pi Fraternity, Phi
Kappa Phi honorary biology
fraternity and the executive
round table.
Mr. Classen is presently a
first year medical student at the
Medical University of South
Carolina in Charleston, S. C.
The wedding will take place
February 26 at the First United
Methodist Church of Griffin at 3
o’clock.

Miss Linda Gail Hyatt
is bride of Mr. Daniel
Miss Linda Gail Hyatt and
Mr. David Lee Daniel were
united in marriage at 3 p.m.
Sunday, December 19. The
double ring ceremony took
place at First Baptist Church of
Griffin. Dr. Bruce Monroe
Morgan officiated.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Fred
Hyatt of Griffin. The groom is
the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert
Marshall Daniel, Sr. of
Woodland, Ga.
Mrs. Aileen Keene, organist,
accompanied Dr. Robert
Wilkinson who sang “The
Wedding Song”, "More” and
“The Lord’s _ Prayer”.
Traditional wedding marches
were used.
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, wore a sheer
organza gown featuring a high ’
neck outlined with Brussels lace
accenting the yoke and full
bishop sleeves. The gown had a
V-shaped bodice inserted with
lace and pearls. A flounce ruffle
encircled the hemline and
attached chapel train. A full
mantilla veil edged in matching
Brussels lace completed the
total look.
Mr. Marshall Daniel served
as his son’s best man. Ushers
were Mr. Bob Daniel and Mr.
Charles Daniel of Woodland,
brothers of the groom; Mr.
Roswell Parker, Jr. of
Woodland, Mr. David Williams
of Lavonia, Mr. Stephen Hyatt
and Mr. Stanley Hyatt, brothers
of the bride.
Miss Patty Hyatt, sister of the
bride, served as maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Miss Vicki
Hyatt, sisters of the bride; Miss
Vickie Mallory of Griffin, Mrs.
David Barton of Union City and
Miss Charlotte Cromley of
Fayetteville. Miss Amy Gatlin,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph
Gatlin of Griffin, was the flower
girl.
Following the wedding, a
reception was held in the
Cheatham Auditorium.

bride’s book.
Rice bags were given to the
guests by Miss Teesa Tripp,
Miss Terri Tripp, Miss Lea
Fanner and Miss Amy Fanner.
After a wedding trip to
Gatlinburg, Tenn., Mr. and
Mrs. Daniel will reside at Route
1, Box 141, Woodland, Ga.
Miss Lindsey Horton
is bride of Mr. Skrine
Miss Lindsey Robin Horton,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Byrd
L. Horton of Atlanta, and Mr.
James David Skrine, son of Mr.
and Mrs. James E. Skrine of
Griffin, were married on
December 18 in the chapel of
Perkerson Baptist Church. The
Rev. James Larry Hannah
officiated.
