AUTHORIZING STREET
IMPROVEMENTS
Pursuant to the pertinent
provisions of the Spalding
County Street Improvement
and Assessment Regulations,
notice is hereby given to the
owners of real property abut
ting each of the improvements,
hereinafter set out, and to any
and all other interested or af
fected parties that on the 21st
day of December 1976, the 4th
day of January 1977, and the Ist
day of February 1977,
respectively, the Board of
County Commissioners of
Spalding County, Georgia, at a
Regular Meeting unanimously
adopted a resolution
authorizing the making of
certain improvements, being
the surfacing with asphalt,
triple surface treatment,
paving, 24 feet in width and with
all necessary grading, catch
basins, and storm drainage
installed, constructed, and
provided, the public streets or
roads, or parts thereof, as
hereinafter named or
designated with the ap
proximate lineal distance or
length to be improved or paved
and with the respective ter
minals to wit:

said authorizing resolution and
shall be completed as soon
thereafter as practicable. Each
such improvement shall be
made or done by Spalding
County and assessments of two
thirds of the costs thereof
against the respective owners of
the property abutting such
improvement shall be due and
payable to Spalding County
sixty (60) days after the date of
adoption by said Com
missioners of the final
resolution (or resolutions)
fixing the total costs of such
improvement and apportioning
the specific assessments
therefor, provided however that
any such owner may elect to
pay the whole or any part of
such assessment in three (3) or
less equal annual installments
of principal plus accrued in
terest thereon, payable an
nually, at the rateof six per cent
(6 percent) per annum from the
due date of such assessment by
executing and delivering, on or
before such due date, a note and
agreement on the forms
provided and made available at
the office of the undersigned
Clerk of said Commissioners at

any properly authorized ex
tensions, the Owner will deduct
from any monies then due on
contract the amount of one
hundred dollars ($100.00) per
day for each and every con
secutive calendar day
thereafter, not as a penalty, but
for acknowledged liquidated
damages caused by such delay.
Contract, if awarded, will be on
a lump sum basis. No bid may be
withdrawn for a period of 35
days after time has been called
on the date of the opening,
bids must be accompanied by a
Bid Bond in an amount not less
than 5 percent of the Base Bid.
Both a Performance Bond and a
Payment Bond will be required
in an amount equal to 100
percent of the contract price.
The Owner reserves the right to
reject any or all bids and to
