A Boston paper informs ns that another experiment was made upon the ship Yiigi- nia, the bottom of which was covered with leather about 5 mouths ago. and ttius far it is found to answer equally us well if not hotter than copper. Tne ship lias since made a voyage to the Mediterranean, from whence she returned a few days since, and now lies in Boston. The leather now appears as bright and clean us when it was first put on, although the sheathing ofthe ship was full of barnacles. The captain, who went tho voyage in her, as well as other shipmasters, are of opinion that the leather will answer every purpose of copper. If this he the fact, the improvement will be important, us we are informed that the expense of a leather covering is not more than one third that of copper.
