The trade have purchased willingly of late. It is now understood that the master spinners will have no further trouble with the operatives, at least for some time to come, that the consumption is more likely to increase than diminish, and as ev ery account from the U. S. confirms the ex portation of a very limited export from thence, independent of the inferior quality of the new crop ; holders of old cotton are sanguine of still better prices, although they have of late met tin? demand rapidly. Tho market has been rather inactive; sales in all have not exceeded 2,600 bales, at rates about the same as before, perhaps, in some eases a trille less, has been taken.
