offers her services in teaching the following
useful and ornamental brandies of educa
tion. Whilst she returns sincere thanks foi
the patronage hitherto extended, she
hopes, from the reduced rates of tuition and
her increased exertions to further the pro

F OR tbc cure of Golds, Coughs, Consump
tion^ Spitting of Blood, As.hmas, and
i iseeses ofthe breast and lungs.
There is perhaps no medical observation
better established, none more generally con
firmed by the experience of the best physici*
’.ns of all Sf;e8 and countries, and none ol
uore importance to the human family, than
he fact that many of the most difficult and in
curable cons'imr’ior.s originate in neglect d
colds.. In a climate so variable as ours, where
»he changes of the weather are frequently
iuddenand unexpected, it requires more care
and attention to guard against this dangerous
enemy of life, than most people imagine or
are t.b!cand willing to bestow. The bills o*
mortality exhibit the melancholy fact that the
proportion of'deaths by this disease may be
considered as about five to one. Inasmuch
then ns this fatal disease frequently bids defi
ance to the skill of the most learned physici
:ms, it is a gratification to the proprietor that
te is enabled to offer to those afflicted .with
it, a goodly prospect of relief, in that highly
valuable remedy, the Vegetable Indian Sped
fic. The Indians are luppy in their know,
.t’dge of medical plants; governed wholly by
•xperience, they arc certain ns to their effset,
md it is said by an author of gicat character,
‘hat a true consumption is a disease never
known among them.
This Specific is obtained by extraction from
ierbs, t ools flowers, plant*, 8tc. when in per-
‘ection. In consequence of a huppy enmbina-
ion of the most valuable herns, Stc. it becomes
x balsum of a superior value. It heals the in
jured parts, opens the pores, and composes
he disturbed nerves, after the manner of ai
Hiiodyne; consequently the obstruction ot
• he chest and the lungs which constitute th>s
disease, particularly need its use. It promotes
expectoration, which is constantly called for,
and whilst it cleanses and heals, it also gives
■urtngth to the tender lungs In this manner
it removes the hectic fever, improves diges
tion, gives strength to the nerves, repairs the
ipprtite and improves the spirits. This sptci.
lie mav always be given in safety it is mild,
pleasant to the taste, and may sufely be given
’o infants, tor* which it is of inestimable value.
It aff ords relief in bowel complaints, teething,
whooping coughs, Uc. end is found particu
larly useful lr» hypochondriacal, nervous and
hystcricsl disenses. Each bill of direction
contains a detailed account of this disease in
all its different stages, and will be accompa-
ied* with the signature of the proprietor in
Red Ink. It is offered for sale by GEO. RY-
ERfc On, only (my sole agent) Druggist, cor-
nor nay and Whit taker-streets, Savannah, at
