falling on Sunday, was celebrated by the
Sav.aunah Guards, under Captain 1 att-

the Georgia Hussars, Captain Law, oii

first corps, a procession was formed about

Clergy, the officers of the Brigade ai^d Re

Volunteers and Republican Blues, which
proceeded to the Theatre. The lower tier
of boxes was crowded with in elegant as
semblage of ladies—and the second tier
was occupied by the Georgia Hussars, by
the deputations of the other military corps,
and the citizens generally. The pit was
appropriated to the officers invited, and to
the Guards. A member of the corps, R.
R. Cuyler, Esq. then delivered aa oration,
which met with the warmest approbation—
and which was distinguished by patriotic
sentiment and a judicious selection ot the to
pics'dwelt upon. After music by the band
the procession was again formed, and re
turned to the bay, where it separated. The
company then proceeded to the east end ot
