A Paris paper says, “an English Asso

other colonial commodities, which, however,
are now. at the usual price.”

Havre, March 25.—When we "wrote you
on the 1st inst, we stated that our market
was firm, without however, much activity
in the sales. VVe now have to adviso that
holders of Ashes and Coffee have submit
ted to take lower prices. The fall of the
prices of Ashes is due in great measure to
the failure of speculators m Paris, who had
large quantities, which have been forced
into the market. We are of opinion that
they cannot remain loug at the present rates
of 43 50 a 44 por 50 k.
St. Domingo Coffee, which had been ea
gerly taken up for the English market at

est part of what is exported is already sold,
to deliver on arrival. Little remains in tho
market, and we believe tint it will rathor
rise thin decline.
