The market has ( been considerably agitated for the week | past, by various arrivals from Liverpool. 1 showing a continual advance in the article there; extensive sales have in consequence been made here at rates gradually impro ving, from Monday up to Thursday, when the news by the Amethyst came to hand, which gave additional animation and estab lished prices one cent per lb. higher thnn previous sales. A lot of about 500 bales of extra fine Upland reached 30 cents, and a small parcel of Louisiana 3?. The busi ness has however been principally in Up lands and Alabaman at 25 to 20 cents.
