Remedy for the Piles.
T HE Medicine now offered to the public
is one which has been fully subjected
to the infallible test ef experience; and in
overy instance where it has been fairly tri
ed, it has been attended with the most com
plete success. In some of the cases, the
patients had been labouring under the dis
ease for years, and during that period, had
received the best medical advico, and had
even undergone a painful surgical opera
tion, without permanent advantage. It is
hot (like those usually advertised) offered
as a certain cure for a long catalogue of
diseases, but those afflicted with this com
plaint, for which alone it is recommended,
may roly with confidence upon obtaining
relief, even in its worst forms, in s short
time; and themselves are the best judges
of the importance of such a remedy. Price

'Mr. W W. Potter,
Dear Sir—You expressed a wish thut I
would give a concise statement of my suffer
ings, from * the hopeless commencement, tu
the present propitious stage of my disease.’
About five yean ago, nn my passage from
Bordeaux, during the month of January, front
imprudent exposure on deck, I wu seised
with a violent fever. Having no medical at
tendants on board, I wu compelled to bear
it, u I might for two weeks, when on my ar
rival at Charleston, 8. C. it wu treated at
Typhus. The skill of my Physician subdued
tbe fever, but Fbanix-iike, the termination
of this gave tile to a disease equally distress
ing, and which, till now, I had thought incut-
able. Various abacuses made their unwel
come appearance, particularly on tbe jointa,
which were swelled to an enormous aise.—
These gradually subsided into hard tumors,
one of which on my left knee affected the
bone—an incision wu now made and a large
evacuation of pus, miaed with pieces of bone
took place. In addition to thie, I auffered the
moat excruciating pains in my joints that man
ever experienced. Every tiling that was
administered cither gave me no relief tir ser
ved to aggravate the disease, the severity of
which increased with every succeeding year.
Such wu my painful avuation that I despaired
of ever being restored tu my heal 1 hi Iliad
nut only tried the tegular means of relief,
but uaed, though in vain, every popular rem

despundmg condition.that I wu persuaded to
commence a course of your Vegetable flathil-

of the two bottles, my whsle system has under
gone a complete mention, my paint have forsa
ken methe discharge front my knee began
to dimmish, and aoon ceued altogether, the
ulcerfrom whence it proceeded being com
pletely healed, Tbe tumors, for the removal
of which I have tried in vain more remedies
than I can name, are rapidly decreasing ; my
appetite, which wugune,liaa returned—I am
in fact, nearly well, and feel cunlidmt that •
few bottlea more of your, (to me) invaluaule
medicine, will make me ptrlectly so.
