dian of Elizabeth Bourke, stating that
the following named negroes, viz. Si key and
her child. Anderson,Daphne and her children,
Andtew and Bose, from a long residence in
t iwn and great indulgence have acq tired such
h-bi a of dlettess and sicious practices, that
they cannot be made at all profitable to the
said Lunatic and praying leave of this court
to sell the said negroes, and that the proceeds
of the sale be invested i - Bank Slock, or any
other funds that n ay best promote the inte
rest of the said Elizabeth Bourke, It is
hereby orde'ed, that ail persons interested it.

About live years ago, on my passage from
Bordeaux, during the month of January, from
imprudent exposure on deck, I was seized
with a violent fever. Having no medical at
tendants on board, I was compelled to bear
it, ai I might for two weeks, when on my sr-
ivul at Charleston, S. C. it whs treated »r.
Typhus. The skill of my Physician sobd'U d
the fever, but Phoenix-like, the termination
;>f this gave ris- to a disease eq tally distress
ng, and which, till now, I had m.iitght incur
able. Vnrious abscesses made thei. unwel
come appearance, particularly on the joints*
which were twe ied to an enormous size.—
These gradually subsided into hard tumors,
me of which on my left knee affected the
bone—an incision was now msde and a large
jvaquation of pus, mixed with pieces of bom-

most excrucinting pains in my joints that man
ever experienced. Every thing that wsh
