V/ HEALING OINTMENT.—About!
ptinming tho uempution of n former. Oiip'
while chopping Ut tlie woods, I foolishly chopped
my foot nearly off. instead of the tree. During
this mislbrtnne I employed tfiyaqffm porus^tgj^ji

scattered leaves i road of an liorb which had boon
analyzed by .sdbty' of England’* aiicim\t Alchc-
iriists, showing properties mid qualities riovor be-
foro found in any plant that was ever discbvohuL •
This one herb, uiiddr tho forco of'the itolbrt
and Crucible, develdp'ed raoro than ton distinct
properties. This fact struck irty mind so forcibly,
tluit it was impossible tn gbl Htftif R. ‘Something
seamed to toll ma ih»t P«.o,-rrtrow*p«v.lril
curd is extended toward* ull hi* creatures, hud
never cdncentruted into ono small ndrb so tnuuy
medicinal qualities, ns various uud ds Criuiplici.itcd,
allheiigh perfectly identical as tlio huiuaii blood,
without a wise and good purpose. Herb was to
he found tho ucids, tlie alkalis, tho oils, iltu \vator,
the air, tho salts, tho soda, &c., all combined, ‘dbn-
cuutrated, and chemically united into ono siilgil
element of power, forming a substance more al
lied and in uilinity to tho human blood tliun wa*
ever belbro discovered iu tho works of luitura. -
Labdriug under tlioso impressions fdr srtvorul
years, I hueamo uneasy, discontented; inid iin-
willingto confine myself longer to the duties of A
furiuer.
Every tiling seomod to point my mind to ono
object, viz.: the preparation of this herb into a
medicine. I then determined to return to tho city
of N. York. I did so, uml inuiicdiutely inquired
for the herb. It was not to bo (bund, i then
sent to Etiropo aud there found it uudor another
name.
Having prepared tho article to my satisfaction,
I gave it away to nil who would uso it. Hun
dreds, I might any thouRnUds, took it into thoir
families und il*0d it: sdino fur one thing and
sumo for another, nud nil from the very first to
tlio very last, pronounced it of uurivulud excel
lence and pbtver.
The firiU.citMe that came under tiiy Observation,
was a mail that had lost thu uso of his ami fur
some years. The Ointment restored his ami
completely iu a low days. This surprised me ns
much ns it did tho patient. After him there came
a limn with sore eves produced by gunpowder-a
very had case iinfeed. Oue box only sulfided to
iiiuko a perfect cure. And I would hero remark
(lint hundreds have lioeu cured of soro byes,
who novor found any reliefbut in this (Jint-
ninnt.
There next came a woman who was suffering
excruciating pain from the ague iu thu face—
Her physicinn (thinking it the toothache.) had
extracted eleven of her teeth. But the difficulty
still remained as bad as over. Tlio Apulieutibii
of the All Healing Ointment was attoudeil with
immediato cessation of pain. . Horfucd however,
began to swoll, and thosurfiico was eovoroil over
with pimpled of eruption like prickly boat. Iu
quo day all this disappeared. About tlie same
time, u lady mndo application with it for the
hondacho of long stunuing, and n falling of the
hnir. 'J’lio Ointment cured Jier headache, and
restored her luiir. Siuco this, I have ktjown tlio
Ointment to bill’d cnees often, twofity and forty
years standing. I hesitate not to say, (hut it u
almost ail iulallilile remedy for this cuinpluiut.
Ahouyhis time there were two bases, one of
Consumptidu, and tlio’ other of Scroftfla, which
had bullied thu skill of every, physician who pros
cribed. It was wonderful to witness the effect iff
the Ointment oil these persons. No ono would
hoUuvoituulussthuy had personally witnessed it.
But it did the work properly. There wits no half
way business, fur they recovered theii* health in u
few months;
Rheumatism, Fever, Quiiizy, Soro Throat, Cu-
taiiooit* Eruptions, disease* of thu Spinu, and
Norvous Complaints were treated witn unheard
of success. Butin Chest diseases, such ns Afitli-
urn, pain and oppression, I holiovo thorn is no blit
ter remedy. Also, tlio common discuses, such «J
Ulcer Sores. Scald Head, .Humors of thu Skin,
Inflammation, Piles, Soro Eyes, Sprains, Bruises,
and Burns, it seem* to ho a perfect antidote—
People would couio into tho store smiling, wish'
ing to know if 1 was really tlio Seventh Son, or
whether tho Ointment tliut i gave them wit*indued
till-licidiug iu its nature. For said thoy, not omi
liugle application has failed to cure.
Liver Complaint, particularly, was traated with
great ami universal success. •
It produced such good results in all case* that it
ha* been noised abroad, and I was ofibrod sums of
money for a receipt to niuko it for private uso
merely. Every man spoke woll of it, as it had
done so much good.
Nat withstanding ull, I havo been careful not to
recommend it, except in casus 1 know it would do
good. I was never willing to lend uiysulfto uuy
tiling without first tasting Us merits. ’This I en
deavor to do on every occasion, and when I nctod
a* ono of thu Sick Coinmitteo iu thu Lodge of li
O. of O. F. I then tested it upon Brothers in tho
most critical condition*, and had abundant oppot^
tunity of proving it* worth.
Aud, iu conclusion, I would remark that I have
placed this Ointment before tlio people of tho U.
Stales during the la«t nine or twelve mouths, and
so general lias been tlie sutisfactioif, and .so great
amount of good done, that more (linn half u mill
ion of boxes have already been sold. I do really
holiovo there never was u medicine wliich guiuod
such widespread, universal and unanimous H«tin-
fuction us the All-Hculiiig Ointment. From all
pans of the land there have come up one deep,
sincere and universal voice of approbation saying
“McAlister thy tongue hath dropped tlio word of
truth and love, while health forever attends thy
foot steps." And were I now to givqajl thegbod
saying* of tho people, their uuquiuificd' ; uj»p>ov»l/
their thankfulness aud gratitude, their joy utrenov
