For purifying the blood, and removing all diseas
es arising from tho impurity of tho same, it is
highly recommended* as also for the euro of Rheu

Cutaneous Eruptions, Neuralgic Affections, Mer
curial Disposes, aud for assisting tho operation
aud provohting fatal consequences of Morcuriais
in Syphaliis.
This preparation, (by adding tho Queen’s De
light, See. to the Sursnparilla,)combiuos iua more
perfect degree than any known remedy, tonic
aud alterative powers, aud is highly rocouunond-
oil by emilicnt physicians. It is prepared in con
sequence of tho recommendations given by Dr.
II. It. Frost, Professor of Materia Median iu tlio
Medical College of Charleston, S. C. in his work
on Materia Medina, only coneontroted by a pro
cess of tlio subscriber’s to render it more conven
ient for administration, ami with the exception of
tho addition of mercury which may at all times bo
added when nocessnry. To shew the high esti
mation which Dr. F. entertains of tho combina
tion of those articles, it is only nocessnry to refer
to tlio ubovo mentioned work.
There aro fow cases of chronic nnd'pniuful
Rheumatism that will not yield to the influence of
Sarsaparilla and Queen’s Delight if duly prese
vered in, especially if taken in conjunction with
Ilydr. of Potash.
Is highly rccoimnondod for all disoasos of tho
skin, chronic as woll ns rocent. One bottle will,
iu most instances, effectually remove all pimples,
posttiles or blotches on tlio face, to which young
persons iu tills climate arc so much subjected to,
arising either from impurity of tho blood or de
bility. It is the best remedy known for ecreftt-
lous affections, sores mid breakings out in young
children, mid is safe and eliicncious iu removing
ontiroly ovory traco of hereditary disoasos from
die system, in the tcndcrcst infant; in fact, in all
cutaneous affections it is invaluuhlo. As a gen-
oral purifier of the blood, mid mi cradicator of all
obstinate diseases, this preparation will undoubt
edly take tlio precedence of all other remedies. It
gently operates upon aud regulates the bowels,
restores to tho blood its wonted purity, gives tone
to the stomach, mid promotes digestion.
It will effectually relievo Erysipelas even in its
worst stages, nnd all persons suffering from this
distressing complaint aro advised to use it, first
so, hut if no marked relief he found after taking
one bottle, it will ho necessary to use tho llydrio-
dated Potash with it.
Not wishing to publish certificates ns is done in

Quinine is held, not only by tho people, hut by
the most skillful physicians, it will appear Htipera-

Mr. Editor: Sir,—Mysenso of duty to my suf
fering fellow mortals luw induced mu to make the
following communication; and lam in hopes that,
should you seo proper to give it in whole or in
part, a place in your valuable paper, it may prove
lieneficiul to some poor fellow siiflerur. Iu the
winter oj*1834, and the day after I had a hard day’s
work lifting and moving logs, I was takou with a
violent pant in my hack and loins, nnd the day
following with a total suppression or stoppage of
urine. [I was then u citizen of Jones county,
Ga. j I immediately called in n physician o’fgreat
eminence aud distinction ; for thirty-six hours I
sutiered ns much, to all appearance, as it was
possible for human nature to endure, and at last
found relief only by the help of tho catheter. I
applied then to several eminent physicians both
in Baldwin nud Jones, without receiving any ben
efit other thiiu u temporary relief, for my com
plaint would every two or three days return, and
tho catheter was my only helper. * In J8 I7I re
moved to this county, mid brought with me iny
tormenting complaint and my friendly catheter.—
Here, ns there, I applied to tho most skillful phy
sicians, as I thought, aud hero, ns there, I receiv
ed no benefit from them, ln September 18-12,
after having suffered at times tlio most excrucia
ting pains for eight years nud nine months, and
after having spent a great deal of money (at least
$590) on doctors during the time, I was induced
to try. Dr. RI. 8. Thomson, of Rincon, nnd though
I entertained tlio most violent prejudice to his
mode of practice, my necessity compelled me to
go, fori had then boon confined to my house for
tun days, and bad to resort to the use of the ca
theter three or four times daily. In this misera
ble plight I left home, went to Dr. Thomson,
stated my case to him, and lie gave me medicine.
In half an hour after taking his first dose, I felt that
case, nud had that free and copious discharge of
urine which I hud not felt or had iu almost nine
yours. And from that timo to this present day,
March 20th, 1847, I havo hud no return of my
complaint, and no more uso for my catheter. In
order to make the euro permanent I continued
tho use of the medicine several mouths. Since
thou I take nothing for it. I cat, drink, sleep,
nnd work as in former days, and feel ns well ami
sound as ever I was. You may well suppose that
it did not take long to banish prejudice at that
rate, and I now say to the afflicted, that 1 believe
in many instances that prejudice stands moro iu
the way of their recovery than tlio incurability of
their diseases. Such, Mr. Editor, is my expe
rience of Dr. Thomson's treatment, and such the
results. Neither ho nor his remedies need any
encomium from mu : the skill of tlio one and the
efiicacy of the other are too well known for tlmt;
hut it follow feeling for the siifi'erors induced me
to take up tho pen, and to them is dedicated the
