AUGUSTA, Nov. 18—CoMon—'There work
belter demand in our market yesterday, mid boi
ler nrices paid tliuii any time siuco the steamer s
news came tojiand. Fair Cotton readily brought
7 cents, and all offered was freely taken at that
price, which is i cent more than Uie mmo dee-
cription of Cotton would bring yesterday.
GRIFFIN,Nov.17.—Cotton.—Our warehouses
exhibit an unusual quantity of Cotton in store,
owing to the fuel that hut few plnuten are (hs-
Hisiid to soil at present prices. 1 ho late foreign
‘news has had no good effect on our market, and
in quoting prices to day, we cuunot uso a higher
figure than 0i for the best quality*
Correspondence of the Baltinioro Sun, by'Telegraph.
NRW YORK, Nov. JO, 0 1*. M.—The market
for flour continues moderately active, though
shippers have not entered the market, the demand
being entirely for Eastern and city consumption.
The range of prices has been from 0 to $025.—
About 8000 barrels were sold at §0 12 for Oswe-
ito ami $825 for Geuosee. Soma mixed West
ern sold at 6 a $G0G, and a few hundred barrels
of Howard st. at $0 374. ... . _. ,
But a moderate business is doing in Rico, and
priino i* heavy at $4. There is hut a little export
dcmniuUml tlio trade are expecting lower rates.
The Cotton market is inactive, the sales made
being chiefly to spinners. About 700 bales were
oblilta-day. Tim tendency of prices is still down-
Ward. . , , .
The steamer Hibernia has now been out twelve
days, ami we may expect the news by her to-mor
row or next dny.
