The'native Fobrifiigo is offered. Tho proprie
tor is aware that tho common objections to all now

all stich objections, lie has simply to state thut it is
prepared according to. tlio receipt of an eininoiit
physical!, who used it with perfect success
through a long practico, in perhaps tlie most sick
ly rogiou of our country, viz: tlie Alississippi val
ley. Again from tlie exalted estimation iu which
Quliiino is held, uot only hy the poopla, but by
tlie most skillful physicians, it will appear supere
rogatory to otfur any uew article. But tlio Native
Fobrifiigo possesses all tho powor and certainty
of Quinine in controlling Fever without affecting

Qninine' is inadmissible. It is not the purposo of
thu proprietor however sanctioned by custom on
such occasions, to uttompt a display of medical
knowledge by adopting somo ono of tlio contra

ter and causes of Fovcr.
Believing with tlio loarnod Gregory that though
there has boon so much written concerning Fovor
there is no one subject in the whole circlo of medi

points. Lotting all theories pass, we stand by

may havo originated, and if any doubt exists, as to

attords us pleasure to refer to tlie Platform Scalos

The plan of construction is philosophical and
simple. Tho employment of two levers, with a
singlo beam, is certainly the most practicable, in
a compound platform balance. . Any increase of
die number of levers or an additional beam, ren
ders the instrument more complicated, less precise
in its operation and mare liable to dcrangeraont.
