The native Febrifuge is o He red. The proprie
tor is aware that tho couumiu ohjcctiotia to all new
preparations will he urged against this. To obviate
all such objections, lie bus simply to state tlmt it is
prepared according to Uio receipt of mi oupuent
phy.sienii, who used it with perfect success
through a long practice, in perhaps the most sick
ly region ofotir country, viz: the Mississippi val
ley. Again from the exalted estimation in which
Uuiuine is held, not qnly by the peoplu, Jmt by
the most skillful physician.*, it will appear simeni-
rogatory to oiler any new article. But the Native
Febrifuge possesses all the power and certainly
of Uuiuiuc in controlling Fever without atfectitig
the bead, mid may be safely used therefor, where
Quinine ft inadmissible. It is not the purpose of
the proprietor however sanctioned by custom on
such occasions, to attempt a display of medical
knowledge by adopting some one of the contra
dictory theories allo.it, with regard to tho charac
ter and c auses of Fever.
Believing with the learned Gregory that though
there has hern ho iimeli written concerning Fever
there is no one subject iu the wliolu circle of medi
calscience which still involves so many disputed
points. Lotting'all theories pass, wo stand by
facts. TI10 first of which is that the Native Fe
brifuge will cure fever, from whatever cause it
may have originated, and ifany doubt exists, as to
the Fact wo invite the nlllicted to the test, with
confidence as to the issue. What it lias done it
will do. The following certificate of ouu well

5Ir. Ja*. A. La Roche having requested me to

talui pleasure in staling that it was used benefici
ally iu thu Fevers of the valley of the Mississippi

been made within a few years, in the instruments
of weighing merchandise, is a fact familiar to Inisi-

the aft, the salts, tho soda, Ac., till combined, con
centrated, and chemically united into one single
element of power, forming a substance more al
lied and in affinity to tho human blond than was
ever lioloro discovered iu the works of nature.
Laboring under these impressions for several
years, 1 became, uneasy, discontented, mid un

hmulie* and used it: some for one tiling and
sumo for another, niid 41II from thu very first to
the very last, prouonuced it of unrivaled excel
lence and power.
'Hie first case that came under iny observation,
was a man that had lost the use of his arm Ibr
some years. The Ointment restored his arm
comnlotuly in a few days. This surprised me as
much ns it did the patient. Alter him there came
a uiati with soro eves produced by gunpowder—a
very bud case indued. One box only suliieicd to
make u perfect euro. And I wmild’liere remark
that hundreds have linen cured of soro eves,
\ylui never found any relief but in this (jiut-
incut. .
Thera next came a woman who was siilTeriiig
crueiutiug pain from the ague in the lace.—
Her physician (thinking it the toothache,) lmti
extracted eleven of her teeth. But tho difficulty
still, remained as Imd 11s ever. Thu Application
olthe All Healing Ointment was attended with
immediate cessation of pain. Her face however,
began to swell, and tho surface was covered over
with pimples of eruption like prickly heat. In
one day all this disappeared. About tho same
time, a l.uly made application with it for tiie
headache of long standing, and a tailing of the
hair. The Ointment cured her headache, and
restored her luiir. Since this, 1 have known the
Ointment to cure eases often, twenty and forty
years standing. I hesitate not to say, that it is
almost an infallible remedy for this complaint.
About this time there were two cases, mm ot
Consumption, and the other of Scrofula, which
had batfied tho skill of every physician who pres
cribed. It was wonderful to u ilncss the eliectof
the Ointment on these persons. No ouo would
believe it unless they bail personally witnessed it.
But it did the work properly. There was no half
way business, for they recovered their health in a
few months.
Rheumatism, Fever, Quinzy, Sore Throat, Cu
taneous Eruptions, diseases of the .Spine, and
Nervous Complaints were treated with unheard
of success. But iu Chest diseased, such as Af tli-
ma, pain aud oppression, I believe there is no bet
tor remedy. Also, the common diseases, such a*
Ulcer Soros. Scald Head, Humors of the Skin,
liitlamiuatioii, Piles, Sore Eyes, Sprains, Bruises,
and Burns, it seems to he a perfect antidote.—
People would come into the store smiling, wi til
ing to know if I was really tho Seventh Son. or
whether the Ointment that *1 ga\;e them was indeed
all-healing ill its nature. For said they, not one
single application has failed to enre.
Liver Complaint, particularly, was treated with
great and universal success,.
It produced such good results in all cases that it
has been noised abroad, and I was offered sums of
money for n receipt to make it for private uso
merely. Every man spoke well of it, as it had
done so much good.
Not withstanding all, I have been careful tint to
recommend it, except iu cases 1 knew it would do
good. I was never willing to lend mvselfto nuv
thing without first testing its merits. 'This I en
deavor In do 011 every occasion, and when I acted
as one of file Sick Committee iu the Lodge of I.
O. of O. F. I thcii'tcstcd it upon Brothers in the
ino.-t critical conditions, and Imd abundant oppur

And, in conclusion, 1 would remark that I have
placed this Ointment before the people oftho U.
Slates during the last nine or twelve months, and
so general lias been the satisfaction, and so great
amount of good done, that more than ball*a mill
ion of boxes have already been sold. I do really
believe there never win a medicine which gained
such wide spread, universal and iinauimuus satis
faction ns (lie All-Healing Ointment. From all
parts of the laud there have come up one deep,
sincere and universal voice of approbation saying
•‘.McAlister thy tongue hath dropped the word of

sayings of the people, their unqualified approval,
their thankfulness aud gratitude, their joy at recov
