Tlio first cufio that catne undor my observation, was a man that hud lost tho uso of his arm for somo yours. The Ointment rostorod his aiin completely in a few days. Thoro next came a woman who was suffering excruciating pain from tho ague in tlio face.— Ilor physician (thinking it tlio toothache,) had extracted eleven of hor tooth. But tlio diiilculty *till remained as bad as over. Tho Application of tho All Healing Ointmont was attended with immediate cessation of pain. About tlio snmo tune, a lady made application with it for tlio liouduche of Jong standing, and a fulling of the lmir. The Ointment cured her houdacho, and restored her hair. Since this, I have known tho Oiutiuuut to cure cases often, twenty nnd forty years standing. I hesitate not to nay, that it is almost iiu infallible remedy for this complaint. About this time there wore two cases, ono ol Consumption,.und tho other of Scrofula, which lmd bullied tho »kill of ovory physician who pres cribed. It was wonderful to witness tlio effect of tliu Ointmont on those persons. No ono wovdd believe it unless they had personally witnessed it. But it did tho work proporly. There was no half way business, for they recovered tlioir health in a few months. llheunmtism, Fovor, Quinzy, Sore Throat, Cu taneous Eruptions, diseases of the Spine, und Nervous Complaints were treated with uidieard of success. It produced such good results in all cases that it has been noised abroad, and I wus offered stuns of money for a receipt to niuko it for private use merely. Not withstanding ull, I have been careful not to rocommend it, excopt in cuses I knew it would do good. 4 was never willing to lend myself to any thing without first testing Fts merits. From tho Atlanta (Geo.) Luminary. Mr. Editor: Sir,—My Bouse ofduty to my suf fering fellow mortals has induced me to make the following communication; uud I aui in hopes tlint, Bhouldyou seo proper to give it in whole or in part, a place in your valuable paper! It inayprove beneficial to gome poor fellow sufferer. Iu foe winter of 1834, and tho day ufter I had a hard day’s work lifting and- moving logs, I was takon with a violent pain in my hack and loins, and the day following witii a total suppression or stoppage of urino. ^1 wus then a citizen of Jones county, Gn. ] I immediately culled iu a physician ofgrcat emiuence oud distinction ; for thirty-six hours I suffered as much, to ull appearance, ns it was possible fur human uatiiro to enduro, and at last found relief only by the help of tho catheter. I applied then to several eminent physicians both in Uuidwin nnd Janus, without receiving auybau- efit other than u temporary relief, for my com- pluiut would every two or three days return, nnd tlio catheter was my only helper. In 18371 re moved to this county, ami brought with mo my tormenting complaint urn! my friendly cuthctor.— Here, us there, (applied to foe most skillful phy sicians, as 1 thought, and lioro, ns thoro, I receiv ed no benefit from thorn. In Soptembor 18-12, after having; suffered ut times the most excrucia ting pains for eight years and nine mouths, nud after having spent a great deal of money (at least $500) on doctors during the timo, I was induced to try Dr. M. S.' Thomson, of Macon, nnd though I entertained the most violent prejudice to his mode of practice, my necessity compelled mo to go, for l had thou been confined to my house for ten days, nnd lmd to resort to tlio uso of foe ca theter three or four times daily. In this misera ble plight I left homo, went to Dr. Thomson, stated my caso to him, and he gave mo modicino. In half an hour ufter taking his first dose, I felt that ease, and lmd thut free nnd copious discharge of uriuo which l hud not felt or had in almost nine yours. And from that timo to this present day, March 20th, 1847, I have lmd no return of my complaint, und no moro uso for my catheter. In order to make tho cure permanent I continued tho uso of tlio modicino several mouths. Since then I tnko nothing for it. I oat, drink, sleep aud work us iu former days, and feel us well uiu. sound ns ever I was. You may well suppose that it did not lake long to banish prejudice at font rnto, and I now say to the ulllictod, that I believe in many instances that prejudice stands moro in the way of their recovery than the incurability of tlioir diseasos. Such, Mr. Editor, is my expe rience of Dr. Thomson's treatment, nnd bucIi the results. Neither lie nor his remedies need nny encomium from mo ; the skill of tho ono nnd the efficacy ofthe other aro too woll known for time; but a fellow feeling for the sufferers induced me to tnko up tho pen, nnd to them is dedicated the imperfect communication of Yours, respectfully.
