The native Febrifuge is offered. The proprie

Febrifuge possesses all the power and certainty
of Q.uiuiuu in controlling Fever without affecting

acts. ‘ The first of which is that tho Nutivo Fe

seemed to tell mo tliat Providence, Whoso special
coro is extended towArds kll his creatures, hud
never concentrated into one small.herb so many
mudicinul qualities, as various and os complicated,
although perfectly identical tis tho human>blood;
•without u wise aud good 'purpose. Here was to
bo ftmnd the acids, tho alkalis,- tin* oils, tho water,
tho air, tlie salts, the soda, i&c.. all combined, con
centrated, pud chemically united into ono single
element of power, forming a^suhstanco more uk
Hod and in infinity to the iiunmri blood than was
over before discovered in tho works ofnuturo.
Laboring tinder these 'impressions for several
years, 1 became uneasy, discontented, and un
willing to confine myself longer to tlio ditties of a
fanner.
Every thing penned to point my mind to ono
object, viz.: tlio preparation of tins herb into a
medicino, I then determined to return to the city
of N. York. I did fio, and Immediately inquired
for the herb. It was not to be found. I then
sent to Europo andtltore found it under another
natne;
liuving prepared tho article to my satisfaction,
I gavo it away to nil who would use it. Hun
dred*, 1 might pay thousands, took it into their
families uud used it: some for ouo thing and
Homo for another, and all from the very first to
tho very last, pronounced it of unrivaled excel
lence aud power.
The first case that came under my observation,
was u mail that had Inst tlio use of his arm for
some years. The Ointment restored his arm
completely in a few days. This surprised me as
much ns it did the patient. After him there came
a man with sore eyes produced by gunpowder—a
very bad case indeed. One box only sulliciod to
make n perfect euro. And I would here remark
that hundreds have boon cured of soro .eyos,
who never found uny relief but in this Oint
ment. -
There next came a woman who was suffering
excruciating pain from ftiu ague in the face.—
llor physician (thinking it the toothache,) hud
extruded eleven of hor teeth. But the difficulty
still remained as bail as ever. The Application
ofthe All Healing Ointment was attended with
immediate cessation of pain. Her face however,
began to swell, and the surface was covered over
with pimples of eruption like prickly heut. In
one day nil this disappeaied. About tho same
time, u lady made application with it for the
headache of long standing, and a falling of the
hair. Tho Ointment cured hor headache, and
restored hor hair. Since this, I have known the
Ointment to cure cases often, twenty and forty
years standing. I hesitate not tu .say, that it is
almost titi infallible remedy for this complaint.
About this time there were two cases, ouo of
Consumption, aud the other of Scrofula, which
had baffled the skill of every plivsiciun who pres
cribed. It was wonderful to witness the effect'of
tlio Ointment on these persons. No one would
believe it unices they had personally wit nested it.
But it did the work properly. There was uo half
way biteinoss, for they recovered their health inu
few months.
Rheumatism, Fever, Quinzy, Sore Throat, Cu
taneous Eruptions, diseases of the Spine, and
Nervous Complaints were treated with unheard
of hiiucosh. Butin Chest disease*, such us Asth
ma, pain ami oppression, I believe there is uo bet
ter remedy. Also, the common diseases, such as
Ulcer Sores. Scald Head, Humors of the Skin,
iiitlamniatiou, Files, Soro Eyes, Sprains, Bruises,
and •Burn*, it seems to he a perfect antidote.—
People would coiue into tho store smiling, wish
ing to know if 1 was really tho Seventh Son, or
whether Jlu* Ointment that I gave them was indeed
ull-hculiiig in its nature. For saTd they, not one
single application lias failed to cure.
Liver Complaint, particularly, was treated with
great and universal success.
It produced such good results in all cases that it
h:ui bcim noised abroad, and I wusolVercd sums of
mouey. Ibr tc receipt to make it for private use
merely. Every matt spoke well of it, us it had
done so much good.
Not withstanding all, I have been careful not to
recommend it, except incases I knew it would do
good. I was never willing to lend myself to any
thing without first testing ite inm jts. 'This I en
deavor to do on every occasion, aud when I acted
as one of the Sick Committee iu tlie Lodge of 1.
O. of O. F. 1 then testedlt upon Brothers iu the
most critical conditions, aud hud abundant oppor
tanity of proving its worth.
And. in conclusion, I would remark that I have
ploei d this Ointment before the people of (lie U.
States during the la.it nine or twelve montit*, and
so general has been the satisfaction, and so great
amount of good dime, tliat inure than half a mill
ion of boxes have already boon sold. 1 do really
believe there never was a medicine which gained
biich widespread, universal and unanimous satis-
faction ns the All-IIenHng Ointment. From ull
parts of the laud there have come up one deep,
sincere und universal voice of approbation saving
“McAlister thy tongue halo dropped the word of
truth and love, while health forever attends thy
foot steps.” And were I now to give all the gen'd
savings of the people, their unqualified approval,

Mr. Editor •* Sir,—-My sense of duty to uiy suf
fering fellow mortals has induced mo to make tlio
following communication; and lain in hopes tliut,
should von seo proper to give it in whole or in
part, a, pine a in your valuable paper, it may prove
beneficial to some poor follow suflbrer. In'the
winter of1834, and thu day after I had a hard day’s
work lifting and moving logs, 1 was taken with a
violent pum'iri my buck ami loins, and tlio day
following with a total suppression or stoppage of*
urine. [I was then a citizen of Jones county,
Ga.] I immediately called in u physician ofgrent
eminence mid distinction ; ibr thirty-six hours I
suffered as much, to ull appearance, as it was
possible for human nature to endure, and at last
found relief only by tlio help of thu catheter. 1
applied then to Several eminent physician.* both
in Baldwin and Jones, without receiving any ben
efit other than a temporary relief, for mv com-
plaint would every two or three days return, and
tho catheter was my only helper. In 1837 1 re
moved to this county, arid brought with me my
tormenting complaint uudmv friendly cuihctcr.-^-
IIere, as there, I applied to iho most skillful phy
sicians, as I thought, and here, as there, I receiv
ed no benefit from them. Iu September 1842,
after having snllbred at times tho most excrucia
ting pains ibr eight years and nine months, aud
after having upeut a great deal of money (ut least
$500) ou doctors during the time, I was induced
to try Dr. M. S. Thomson, of Macon, aud though
I entertained thu most violent prejudice to his
mode of practice, my necessity compelled mo to
go, fori Imd then been confined to my house fur
ten days, uud had to retort to the use ofthe ca
theter threw or four times daily. In this misera
ble plight I left homo, went to Dt. Thomson,
stated my custi to him. and he gave mo medicine.
Iu half an hour after taking his first dose, 1 lull that
ease, and had that free and. copious discharge of
urine which 1 had not felt or had in almost nine
years. Aud from that time to this present day,
March 20th, 1847, I have hud no return of uiy
complaint, nud no uioro use for my catheter, lii
order to make tlie cure permanent I continued
the use of the medicine several months. Since
then I take nothing for it. I eat, drink, sleep,
and work as iu former days, and feel as well ami
sound as over I was. You may weft suppose that
it did not lake long to hani.-h prejudice at that
rate, ami I now say to the alllietcd, tliat l believe
in matiy instances that prejudice stands more iu
the way oflheir recovery than tho incurability of
their diseases. Such, Mr. Editor, is my expe
rience of Dr. Thomson’s treatment, and such the
results. Neither ho nor his remedies nerd any
encomium from me : the skill ofthe one ami tho
efficacy ofthe other are too •well known for that;
but a fellow feeding Ibr the sufferers induced me
to take up the pen, ami tu them is dedicated tlie
imperfect eoiuiimnicatioit of
