One day while chopping In Uro woods,! foolishly chon pat »«y foot nearly elf, iustoud of Utu tree. During t ins misfortune I employed myself in perusing tins Jntgiuent leaves ofun. old volntno, printed iu Eng land some hundred year* ago. Among these scattered leaves I road of an herb which hud burnt analyzed by some art* England's ancient Alche mists, shewing properties and qualities never he- tore found in any plant that was over discovered, Ibis one herb, under the force of thu Retort and Crucible, developed more than ten distinct properties. This fact struck my mind so forcibly, Unit it was impossible to get riff of it. Something saieiued to tell urn that Providence, whoso special eare is extended towards all his creatures, laid never concentrated into ono small herb so many medicinal qualities, us various and ns complicated, although perfectly identical as the human blood, without a wine und good purpose. Hero was to b« found tho acids, tiie ulkalis, Uio oils, Uio wator, tho air, the salts, thu soda, A.u., all combined, con centrated, and chemically united into ono single clement ol power, forming a substance more al lied ami iu affinity to the hituiun blond than was ever before discovered iu thu works of nature. Laboring under these impressions for several years, I became uneasy, discontented, mid un willing to confine myself longer to tho duties of u farmer. Every thing seemed to point my mind to ono object, viz.: the preparation rtf this herb into a inpdichte. I then determined to return to the city ol N. York. I did so, and immediately inquired for the herb. It was not to ho found, i then sent to Europe uml there found it under another name. Having prepared the article to my satisfaction, I gave it away to all who would use it. Hun dreds, I might say thousands, took it into their tamiliC'S mid used it: some for one tiling mid some for another, mid all from tho very first to tlm very last, pronouneed.it of unrivaled excel lence aud power. Tho first case that came under my observation, was a man that had lost tho use of his arm for some years. The Ointment restored his arm completely ill a few day*. This surprised,me a- much as it did the patient. After him there came a inau with sore eves produced by gunpowder—a very hud case indeed. One box only tmtliciud to nnko a perfect cure. And I would horn remark that hundreds have been cured of roro eves, whenever found any relief hut in this Oint ment. There next came n woman who was suffering excruciating pain from tho ague iu thu lace.-— Her physieiau (thinking it the toothache.) had extracted eleven of her teeth. But the difficulty still remained as Ind as ever. Tlm Application •if tin* All He lling Ointment was attended with immediate eev.-alion of pain. Her face however, began to swell, aud the surface tvas covered over witii pimjdjs of eruption like prickly heat. Iu one day all this disappeared. About thu same time, a lady made application with it for thu headache of long standing, aud a lulling of the hair. The Oimiueut cured her headache, and restored her hair. .Since firs, 1 have known the Ointment to cure eases of ten, twenty and fmlv years -lauding. 1 lic-ituto not to say, that it is almost an iuiallilde remedy for this complaint. About this time there were two eases, one ol Gonsitmption, mul the other of ,Scrofula, which had baffled the skill of every physician who pros cribed. It was wonderful to witness thu effect of tim Ointment on these persons. No one would believe it unless they had persuutlly witnessed it. But it did the work properly. There wit* no half way business, for they recovered their health in a few mouths. Rheumatism, Ft vcr, Quinzy, Sore Throat, Cu taneous Eruption*, di-eases "of the Fpino, and Nervoiu Complaints were (routed with unheard of success. Butin Chest diseases, such a* Asth ma, pain and oppression, I believe there is no bet ter remedy. Also, the common diseases, hiicIi as IJIeer Sore*. Scald Head, Humors of the .Skill, Iiillaumntion, I’ile.--, Sore Eyes, .Sprains, Bruises, mul Burn*, it seems to he a poricet antidote.— People would come into the store smiling, wish ing to know if I was really the .Seventh Son, or whether tin* Ointment that 1 gave them was indeed all-healing in its nature. For said they, not one single application bat failed to cure. Liver Complaint, particularly, was treated with great mid universal success. It produced sueh good results iu all eases that it Iu* been noised abroad, and I was offered sums of money for a receipt to make il for private use merely. Every matt spoke well of it, as it had done so much rood. Not wilh.-.tmidiiigaM. I have been careful not to recommend ", except meases l knew it would do good. I wa* never willing to lend myself to any thing without lirst testing its merit*. "Thi* 1 en deavor to do on every occasion, mid when I acted as title of the Sick Coiiilti-llec in the Lodge of I. O. of (>. IM then tested it upon Brothers in the mn.*t critical conditions, mid had abundant oppor tuiiily of proving its worth. Ami, iu conclusion, I would remark that I hat e placed this Ointment before the people of tho U. .Slatesduring the last nine or twelve months, mid mi general Inn licon the salisfiielion, and mi gioat amount of good done, that more than half a uiii 1 - ion of boxes have already bren sold. I do really believe there never was a medicine which gained such wide onroad, universal and iiu.ttiiiiioii.* satis- I’aetion as the All-1 leafing Ointment. Fioui all parts of the land there have come up one deep, sincere and universal voice of approbation saying “.McAlister thy tongue hath dropped the word of truth ami love, while health forever attends thy fool, steps."
