Allow me to call your attention to oue of the great
est and most useful Medecines ever discovered.
It is not mviutention to tux you with a long and
tirosom advertisement, but I lav before you the
testimony of the most respectable families in the
United States, m
city of Savannah,
your own State, i
great and astonishing success; it has proved itself
to be superior to any other Medicine for the cure
of Fever and Ague, which it will do in the very
short spnee of Twelve Hours, it has never been
known to fail to effect a certain cure. The Med
icine is u harmless and tasteless one, which will
make it the most popularjMcdiciuciutho Southern
States. The Medicine contains no miiicral pre
paration whatever, but is a harmless Vegetable
matter only. To Planters, this Medicine is a val
uable preparation, as it c\ires all cases in twelve
hours, and does not require unv time to be lost; all
(hat into be done is to take the Medicine and to go
to work. To the llice Planter il is a valuable Med-
icino, asitdoesnot contain any mercurial or min
eral preparation whatever, and is therefore a safe
Medicine for those who are liable to exposure. I
beg you. do not let me have to tax you so often with
advertisements, certificate*, &c. It has already
proved itself to bewlmt 1 suy it is, and the greatest
• proof is every body is recommending it to be {the
only certain und speedy cure for the Fever and
Ague AH you have to do is to ask your neighbor
wnathe thinks of Humphreys* Remedy for Fever
and Ague, and of course, to be convinced, you will
try it, at least I hope so. Here is my offer to any
Planter of South Carolina, who will either call on
Doct. P. M. Cohen,of Charleston, S. C. or myself,
in the city ofSavannah, and either of us will* give
enough for twelve cases, and if it does not cure ten
out oftwelvo, we will refund the amount paid for
it. Your ore to see the .Medicine taken as I have
directed.
Owing to the heavy rains during the past sum
mer, ana which still continue, all the low lauds
are underwater, which will cause a great deal of
this disease on the Rice Plantations; it will be to
your advantage to procure a certain and speedy
remedy; you can ilo so by npplying to cither of

This Medicine has acquired a very ex-
tended and cstablUhed reputation wherever
been used, based entirely on Its own inorits,
which its superior efficacy has alone sustained. The un
fortunate victim of hereditary disease, with swollen glands, con
tracted sinews, nnd bones liutf carious, has been restored to health
and vigor. Tho scrofulous patient, corcred with ulcers, loathsome to himself
and his attendants, has been made whole. Hundreds of persons, who had groaned
hopelessly for years tinder cutaneous and glandular disorders, chronic rheumatism,
and many other complaints springing from a derangement of the secrctivo organs
and tho circulation, have been raised ns it were from tho rack of disease, and now,
with regenerated constitutions, gladly testify to the efficacy of this inestimable
preparation. The testimony of those who have been cured by its use, with thoir
residences, has been published from time to tlmo; and were it desirable, a mass
of the most overwhelming testimony could be brought forward, proving most con*
clusively its inestimable value. The afflicted, and tbo jo who have not used (his
medicine, aro invited to make a trial of its virtues, and appropriate to themselves tho
benefits which it atone can bestow.
CANCEROUS ULOER CURED, OF 8EVEN YEARS’ STANDING.
This cure was oflectcd in July, 18(4; there hare been no symptoms of a roturn,
and hor health still continues good, July, 1848.
NrwYork, July 25, 1844.
Messrs. Sards:—Gentlemen—I consider it but an act of justice to you to state the
following facts in reference to the great benefit I have received in the cure of an ob
stinate Canckrous Ulcer on my breast.
1 was attended eighteen months by a regular and skilful physician, assisted by the
ndvico and comioci of un« nf our most ublo and oxporicnccd surgeons, without tho
least benefit whatever. All the various methods of treating cancer wore resorted to i
for five weeks in succession my breast was burned with caustic three times a-day,
and for six it was daily syringed with a weak solution of nitric acid, and the cavity or
internnl ulcer was so large that it held over an ounce of tho solution. Tlio doctor
f irobod the ulcer nnd examined the bone, und said the disease was advancing rapidly
o the lung*, and if I did not get speedy relief by medicine or an operation, the result
would bo ratal. I was advised to have tho breast laid open nnd tho bones examined;
but finding no retiof from what hud been done, and feeling I was rapidly getting worso,
I almost despaired of recovery, nnd considered my case nearly hopeless.
Seeing various testimonial.! and certificates of cure by the use of Sands’ Sarsapa
rilla, in cases similar to my own, I concluded to try a few bottles, several of which
wero used, but, from the long deep-seated character of my disease, produced no very
decided change. Considering this as tiie only probable cure for my case, 1 persevered
until the disease was entirely cured. It is now over eleven months since tho euro
was completed; thcro is not the slightest appearance of n return. 1 thtrrfon pro-
nouncr mytrlf well, nud tho cure entirtly effected by Sands’ Sarsaparilla, at / took
did* ' ' ' * ' '
no other medicine of any kind during the time / uat using it, nor have l token any since.
Please excuse this long-deferred acknowledgment, which I think it my duty to
mako. Your valuable Sarsaparilla cured me, with the blessing of Divino Providence,
when nothing else could; ami 1 feci myself under lasting obligations to you. I can
say many things I cannot write, nud I do most respectfully invito ladies afflicted us 1
have been, to call upon me, nnd 1 will satisfy them fully of the truth us stated above,
and many other things in rcforcncc to the case.

LIVER COMPLAINT.
The following is an extract from a letter rcceivod from Rov. William Galusha
Berkshire, >’(., Oct. 22, 1845.
Messrs. Sands:—I have been afflicted wilh a severe pain in my side, occasioned
by a diseased liver, for tho last twenty year* 5 suffering at times what language can
not conrey 5 but since taking your Sarsaparilla 1 have been greatly relieved, so much
so thnt I have been able to attend to my business, and preach occasionally, for tho
last fifteen months. I wholly disenrded all other medicine, and thoroughly tried the
Sarsaparilla, which I can recommend in truth and sincerity to nil those who ure in
any way afdictcd with any species of scrofulous complaints. There have been some
remarkable cure* effected by its use jn this vicinity. Mrs. I. Shmv, by the use of ux
bottles, was restored to better health than she imd before enjoyed for ten yours; nnd
Sirs. W. Stevens, who had been severely uflheted with Erysipelas, was entirely cured
by the use of a few bottle*. Yours truly, WM. CALL'S!!.

" CURE OF A SCROFULOUS AFFECTION OF THE EYE9.
South Kingston, R. /., October II, 18-17.
Messrs. Sands Gentlemen—My little daughter, when one year old, was attacked
with a scrofulous humor on her face, which soon alter extended into her eyes, enusinr
almost total blindness in ono of them, und disfiguring her whole fnco. 1 employe
two physicians to attend her, who exhausted their utmost skill to give her relief, bi..
it all proved useless, and finally one of them rcinurkcd to mo that he had known of
somo striking cures effected by Sands' Sarsaparilla, und advised me to try it 1 ob
tained one bottle, which she commenced using, und before it was all u*cit up it had
effected an entire cure. It is now over four years since she was cured, and there has
been no reappearance of the disease, und we aro satisfied that it is u perfect cute.
It gives me grout pleasure to add that I can recommend it to every sufferer from any
similar complaint. Respectfully yours, GEORGE KOD1NSON.
