D RUMMOND'S PATENT CAN-
DLE-MAKEU.—III presenting this article
to tho public tho proprietors of tho monopoly for
tho State of Georgia taka the occasion to say,
that Patouts securing monopolies for any article
of domestic use can only be valuable in propor
tion as it cheapens or improves that article, hut if
one, by invention, discovers a molhod of both
cheapenin'r and improving an article of universal
consumption he of course has the market, and the
value of the monopoly is scon at a glance.
Now wo mako war upon but one article of
domestic usu, the cheapest of artiliciul lights, Din
or Mould Candles. They are of tho lirat necessi
ty, and nro used by tho masses universally, sim
ply because it istliu cheapest light yet disco venal.
We offer the monopoly of iu article for twelve
years which completely displaces the Dip und
Mould Candles—because,
1st. It makes a candle for one cent per night.
2d. It will not run or drop, because tho wick
is dry ami absorbs part of tho inciting material.
3d. It will not dicker or vibrate, because the
wink is smooth, being drawn through a tube ami
then compressed by the cold material.
The right to make and vend this article in the
comfy of Chatham and surrounding counties, is
now offered for sale. Purchasers of monopo
lies can ho supplied with the article (if they do
not choose to m iko) at our manufacturer's prices.
Persons desirous of engaging iu a neat and high
ly lucrative business, and the citizens generally,
are invited to call at our olHco on Bull s reel, up
stairs, over the Georgian Reading Room.
