Co«mctirs, Chalk, nnd a variety of preparations gene,

preparation. Tho testimony of those who havo been cured by its use, with their
residences, has been published from timo to time; and wero it dcsirablo, a mass
of the most overwhelming testimony could bo brought forward, proving most con-

Messrs. Sands:—Gentlemen—I consider it but an act of justico to you to state the
following facts in reference to the great benefit I havo received in the euro of an ob-
stinate Cancerous Ulcer on my breast.
I was attended eighteen months by a regular nnd skilful physician, assisted by tho
advice and counsel of one of our most Ale and experienced surgeons, without the
least benofit whatever. All tho various methods of treating enneer were resorted to;
for fivo weeks in succession my breast was burned with caustic three times a-day,
and for six it was dally syringed with a woak solution of nitric acid, and tho cavity or
internal ulcer was so large that it held over-an ounce of tho solution. Tho doctor
probed the ulcer nnd examined the bone, and snid tho disenso was advancing rapidly
to the lungs, and if I did not get speedy roliof by medicino or an operation, tho result
would bo fatal. I was advised to hnvo tho broast laid open and tho bones examined;
but finding no roliof from what had been done, and feeling I was rapidly getting worso,
I almost despaired of recovery, and considered my case nearly hopeless.
Seeing various testimonials and certificates of euro by tho uso of Sands’ Sarsapa
rilla, in cases similar to my own, I concluded to try a fow bottles, several of which
wero used, but, from tho long deep-seated character of my disease, produced no very
decided change. Considering this as the only probuble euro for my case,.I persevered
until tho disenso was entirely cured. It is now over cloven months slnco tho cure
was completed; there is not tho slightest nppcnranco ora return. I therefore pro
nounce mysef wkll, and the cure entirely effected by Sands’ Sarsaparilla, as I took
no other medicine of any kind during the time J was using it, nor have I taken any since.
Please oxcuse this long-deferred acknowledgment, which 1 think it my duty to
make. 1 our valuablo Sarsaparilla cured mo, with tlio blessing of Divine l’rovidance,
when nothing else could; and I feel myself under lasting obligations to you. 1 can
any many things I cannot write, and I do most respectfully invito Indies nfflicted ns I
have been, to call upon mo, and I will satisfy thorn fully of the truth ns stated above,
and many other things in reference to the case.

- Dr. D. Jat/nc—Dear Sir: I reel bound to you
nnd ilte pullin’., to avail myself of this opportunity
of giving pubiieity to tlio extraordinary cfleets of
your EXPECTORANT on lnyHolf. Having
been utlHcted for ucvcral years, with a severe
cough, hectic fever, nnd its concomitant diseases,
I seemed only doomed to linger out a short but
miserable existence, until tile full of 1839, when
being more severely attacked, and having resort
ed to ull my former remedies, nnd the prescrip
tions oftivo physicians in the neighborhood, with
out deriving any benefit, or the consolation of
surviving but a lew days, or weeks at tho farthest,
when thu last gleam of hope was about to vanish.
I had recommended to me your Expectorant
—aud blessed by that Being who tjpes sill things
iu the use of thu moans—nnd contrary to the ex
pectations of my physicians aud friends, I was
in a few days raised from my bed, and was on
aided, by tho uso of a bottle, to attend to my
business, enjoying, since, better health than I had
for ten ycurs previous. James W. Estjll.
BRONCHITIS.
Beaver, Fa., January22,1811.
Dr. D. Jayne.—l)cnr Sir: Having been for n
long time alllieted with Bronchitis, a disease which
annually sweeps away thousands of the human
race to a premature grave, under tho mistaken
name of Consumption; nnd having heard of your
EXPECTORANT for Coughs, Asthma, bidi
cully of Breathing, nnd every other disease of
the Lungs, I purchased two bottles of it, nml mu
happy to inform you, and ull the sons and daugh
ters of ulllietion, that it immediately suppressed
the cough, removed the pain nud difficulty ol
breathing, nnd produced a free and easy expecto
ration, and very soon effected a complete euro.

Have you tried It?
If iifttdo not delay another day, Imt send im
mediately; if you have been one of the wise and
prudent, nnd already bought u bottle, tho question
is settled—you have recovered your health.
Jayne’s Carminative Balsam for Bowel and
Summer Complaint, never fails. It is the only
medicino that will cure. Thousands of persons
have given their testimony in its favor. No fam
ily should he wilhoutit.
WHY WEAR A WIG?—A majority of the
Wigs worn nrc wholly unnecessary. The use of
JAYNE’S HAIR TONIC will always prevent
the hair from fulling off*, and its continued use
will in mrtst cases rc-elotiie the head with a
beautiful crop of now hair.
FEVER AND AGUE—Cure Warranted—
Jayne's aouf. Fills are warranted to euro tho
worst forms of Fever and Ague. Tho money
will be refunded iu ull eases if they fail to cure—
but they never till fail.
A STRONG EVIDENCE that DR. JAYNE’S
EXPECTORANT is superior to all other reme
dies for Coughs, Consumption, Bronchitis, Asthma,
and other Pulmoiiury affections, is, that tho same
persons who commenced tho use of it iu their
families ten years ago, still prefer it to all other
remedies of tlio kind; and where any havo been
induced to try oilier preparations, they hnvo nl-
most invariably been disappointed in receiving the
benefit which was reasonably anticipated from
the high praises bestowed by tho proprietors, and
havo returned to the uso of JAYNE f S EXPEC
TORANT, ns a remedy that never hns failed to
relievo them, and which probably never hud its
equal in nrresting Pulmonary diseases.

D lt. TAYLOR’S BALSAM OF LIVER
WOlt’lV—That this medicine should ac
quire so much notoriety is not at nil strange when
wo take into consideration tho vast number that
nro cured by its use. For many years it has
proved sonslonishinglysiicccsslulat tho North,that
nearly every family retain it in their house as an
tidote to colds, coughs and consumption.
Tljut no other article possesses tho same merits
is equally true, and tho consumptive learns that
he cun depend upon this medicino when nil others
hnvo proved worthless. There is not u doubt Imt
thousands aro yearly cured by tills inestimable
medicine, and in many instances where those
given up to din, have in aniue’diblo short time been
entirely curod by its unrivalled efficacy. The fol
lowing remarkable case of consumption was
cured by this Balsam of Liverwort. As you
value life and health nnd would be cured, at once
resort to this article, and rest assured you will not
resort in vain—but read und judge for yourself:
Interesting m cure of Consumption and Liter
Complaint.—1 bad n violent cough, with raising
of phlegm, n severe pain in my side, buck,
stomach, and across my bowels. I was so cold at
times, it seemed impossible to keen .warm, even
when others were eotnplafmug of the heat, and
my skin was very yellow. I fell away to skin aud
hones, my veins sunk in and became invisible, ami
every person supposed me dying. A friend of
mine recommended mo to try Dr. Taylor’s Balsam
of Liverwort, which I got, as my physician did
mo no good, and this medicino soon restored
mu to good health ugaiu.
J. Kavanaoii,
Ship Carpenter, 040 Wator-slreet.
Although thousands are cured by Dr. Taylor’s
Balsam of Liverwort, and ns many still die of that
fatal malady, tlio enuse is plain, neglect your first
symptoms, and tbuu trifle with things of no use
until it is loo late, death follows. But every
one can he cured if they will. Take this medi
cine at the first approach of the insidious foe, and
you will be easily cured. Yet this medicine bus
cured consumption in advanced stages, as the
testimonials below will nrovo. But tlio surest
way is not to defer, us “delays aro always dan
gerous.”
Consumption Cured.—My son having a violent
cold, used to cough violently, raising quantities
of thick putrid matter, and filially he could not
turn over in bed, from weakness. lie manifest
ed every symptom of confirmed consumption.
For 6 years he had been subject to tho asthma.
Ilis physicians, Drs. Verinoulo and Anderson,
said lie was incurable nud must soon die. Yet I
was determined to try Dr. Taylor’s Balsam of
Liverwort, nml strange as it may appear, this
medicine has fully restored his health.
Sophia Gallon, 14 Norfolk-st.
Asthma Cured.—I hnve suffered from tho
Asthma a very long time, and havo used every
medicino I could obtain for its cure iu vain, until
I tried Dr. Taylor’s Balsam of Liverwort. This
medicino hns afforded me most manifest benefit,
nnd is, iu my opinion, a euro for this distressing
disease; more especially, as I know of many
cases among my friends, where it has been highly
successful. Persons interested arc invited to cull
nt my residence for further information.
_Mns. S. Ruton, 218 Laurcns-st.
Wc might give hundreds of testimonials from
Physicians, the press, clergy, and those who have
been cured, but all wo dcsiro is to call the attention
of the afflicted, and for their own good they will
try it.
