C OUTHEBNEB81—TO THE
O CITIZENS OF SOUTH CAROLINA,
GEORGIA, ALABAMA, MISSISSIPPI, TEN
NESSEE, FLORIDA, LOUISIANA, &c.—
Allow me to call your attention to one of the great*
est and most useful Medecines ever discovered.
It it not my intention to tax you with a long and
tiresom advertisement, bnt I lav before you the
testimony of the most respectable families in the
United States, most of my certificates are flrom the
city of 8avannah, whore I reside, and many flrom
your own State, where the Medicine is used with
great and astonishing success; it has proved itself
to be superior to any other Medicine for the cure
of FeVer and Ague, which it will do in the very
short space of Twelve Hours, it has never been
known to failto effect a certain cure. The Med
icine is a harmless and tasteless one, which will
make itthe most popnlai{Medicine in the Southern
States. The Medicine contains no mineral pre
paration whatever, but is a harmless Vegetable
matter only.. To Planters, this Medicino is a val
uable preparation, as it cures all cases in twelve
hours, ana does not require any time to be lost; all
that is to be done is to take the Medicine and to go
to work. To the Rice Planter it is a valuable Med
icine, as it does not contain any mercurial or min
eral preparation whatever, and is therefore a sufe
Medicine (br those who are liable to exposure. I
begyon, do not let me have to tax yon so often with
advertisements, certificates, *c. It has already
proved itself to bewbat I say it is, and the greatest
proof is every body is recommending it to be {the
only certain and speedy cure for the Fever and
Ague All yon have to do is to ask your neighbor
what he thinks of Humphreys’ Remedy for rever
and Ague, and of course, to be convinced, you will
try it, at least I hope so. Here is my ofTer to tiny
Planter of South Carolina, who will either call on
. Doct P. M. Cohen,ofCharieston, 8 C. or myself,
in the city ofSavanuah, and either of its will give
enough for twelve cases, and if it does not cure ten
outoftwe!ve,wewi!lreftindthe amount paid for
it Your are to see the Medicine taken os I have
directed.
Owing to the heavy rains dnring the post sum
mer, and which still continue, all the low lauds
are underwater, which will canse a great deal of
this disease on the Rice Plantations; it will be to
yonr advantage to procure a certain and speedy
remedy; yon can oo so by applying to either of
my Annts or myself. Ask for HUMPHREY’8
REMEDY FOR FEVER AND AGUE.
This Medicine is for sale by the following
named gentlemen, who are the only agents for
•ho sale of the Great 8oothk»i» Rxmkim, where
. it will be found either at wholesale or retail.
Conntry merchants will make a handsome profit
by selling this modicine. A liberal discountmade
to Planters, Ac., by the dozen. Address.

Messrs. Hand* Gentlemen—I consider it but an act of justice to you to state the
following facts in reference to the great benefit I have received in the cure of an ob

I was attended eighteen months by a regular and skilful physician, assisted by the
advice and counsel of one of our most able and experienced surgeons, without the
least benefit whatever. All the various methods of treating cancer were resorted tot
