S OUTHERNERS!—TO THE
CITIZENS OF SOUTH CAROLINA,
GEORGIA, ALABAMA, MISSISSIPPI, TEN
NESSEE, FLORIDA, LOUISIANA, &c.—
Allow me to call your attention to one of the great
est and most useful Medecines ever discovered.
It is notiny intention to tax you with a long and
tiresom advertisement, but I lav before you the
testimony of the most respectable families in the
United States, most of my certificates are from the
city of Savannah, where I reside, and many from
your own State, where the Medicine is used with
great and astonishing success; it has proved itself
to be superior to any other Medicine for the cure
of Fever and Ague, which it will do in the very
short space of Twelve Hours, it has uever been
known to fail to effect a certain cure. The Med-
. icine is a harmless and tasteless one, which will
make it the most popularjMedic'me in the Southern
States. The Mediciue contains no mineral pre
paration whatever, but is a harmless Vegetable
matter only. To Planters, this Medicino is a val
uable preparation, as it cures all cases in twelyi
hours, ana does not require any time to be lost; al
that is to be doiie is to take the Medicine and to go
to work. To the Rice Planter it is a valuable Med
icine, as it does not contain any mercurial or min
eral preparation whatever, and is therefore a safe
Medicine for those who are liable to exposure. I
beg you, do uot let me have to tax you so often with
advertisements, certificates, &c. It Ims already
proved itself to bewhat I say it is, and the greatest
probf is every body is recommending it to hostile
only certain and speedy cure for the Fever and
Ague All you have to do is to nsk your neighbor
wlmt he thinks of Humphreys’ Remedy for Fever
and Ague, and of course, to be convinced, you will
try It, at least I hope so. Here is my offer to any
Planter of South Cr ” *
i Carolina, who wifTeither call on
Doct-P. M. Cohen,of Charleston, 8 C. or myself,
in the city of Savannah, nnd either of us will give
enough for twelve coses, and if it does uot cure ten
oft
outoftwelve, we will reflindthe amount paid for
it. Your ore to see the Medicino taken as I havi
directed.
Owing to the heavy rains during the pnst s
ner, ana which still continue, all the low It
t sum
mer, and which still continue, all the low lands
are underwater, which will cause u great deal of
this disease on the Rice Plantations; it will bo to
your advantage to procure a certain and spi
of
o procure a certain and speedy
remedy; you*can do so by applying to either of
my Agents or myself. Ask for HUMPHREY’S
REMEDY FOR FEVER AND AGUE.
This Medicine is for sale bjr the following
named gentlemen, who are the only agents for
•he sale of the Great Southern Remkdr, where
it will be found either at wholesale or retail.
Countpr merchants will niake. a handsome profit
by selling this medicine. A liberal discoun (made
to Planters, &c., by the dozen. Address.

Female Medicine.
Dr. Townsend's Sariopnrilla is a sovereign and speedy
cure for incipient Consumption, Bnrrenness, Prolapsus
Uteri, or Fallln? oftho Womb, Costivcncss, Piles, Leu*
corrboeo, or Whites, obstructud or difficult Menstrua*
tioiu Incontinence of Urine, or Involuntary diiclmrgo
thereof, and for tbo general prostration of tho system-
no matter whethor tho result of inberont causo or causes,
produced by irregularity, illness or accident Nothing
can bo more surprising than its invigorating effects
on the human frame. Parsons ail weakness and lassi*
tmlo, from taking It at once become robust and fall of
energy under its inflnenen. It Immediately counteracts
the nervelessness of tho female frame, which is the great
cause ot Barrenness. It will not bo expected of us, in
cams of so deliente a nature, to exhibit certificates of
cures performed but we cun assttro the afflicted, that
hundreds of cases have been reported tout. Thousands
of cases where families have been without children,
after using a few bottles of this invaluable medicine,
have been blessed with fine, healthy offspring.
To Mothers nnd Married Iindlea.
This Extract of Sarsaparilla has been expressly pre*
pared in reference to female complaints. No female
who has reason to suppose shn is approaching that
critical poriotl, “ The turn of life," should neglect to
take it, as it is a eertnin preventive for any of the
numerous anc) horriblo diseases to which fcmalus are
subject at this time of lire. This period may be do-
laytd fbr literal years by using this medicine. Nor
Is it less valuable for those who are approaching wo*
maubood, os it is cnlculntcd to assist nature, by quick*
eniug tho blood und invigorating the sytlain. Indeed,
this medicine is invaluable for all the delicate disea
ses to which women are subject
It braces the whole system, renews pi rmnnentiy tha
natural enurgiss by removing tbs impurities of tbs
body, not so far stimttlnting as to produce subsequent
relaxation, which is the rase of most .iirdicinos taken for
fcnmJo weakness and disease. By uniug a few bottle* of
this medicino, many sovoro and puiufal surgicul opera
tions may be prevented.
Grrnt BlrsRiug to Mothrrmnd Children.
It is the safest nnd most effectual medicine for purify
ing the syMcm, and relieving tho sufferings attendant
upon child-birth ever discovered. It «treiigthuns both
the mother nnd child, prevents pain nnd disease, in
creases nnd enriches the food, those who linve used it
think it is indispensable. It is highly useful both before
and after confinement, as it prevent!- discuses attendant
upon childbirth—in Contivcness, Piles, Cramps, Swell,
big of tint Fort. Despondency. Heartburn, Vomiting;
Pnin in the Back and Loins, Fulse Pains, Ilemorrhnee,
ami in rcvulutiiig tho secretions ami equalizing tho cir
culation it has no equal. The great beauty of this
medicine is, it is nlwuys safe, nml tho me?* delicato use
it most successfully, very few cnocs require any ether
medicine, in some a little Castor Oil, or Mu-.’iiejiin,, is
u.-cfiil. F.xrrcion in tho open air, and light food with
tills medicine, will ulwuys ensure a safe and ciu-y con
