The Savannah Steam Rice Mill,
T HIS establishment commenced opera-
tions for the season, tho beginning of
this month, and having beat all tho old llice
on hand is now in coinpleto order for tho re
ception of tho now croj), having plenty of
room and separate bins for each lot. The
mill will wo kept going night mid day as soon
ns tho supply will warrant it—It is now ascer
tained that from 80 to 1(H) barrels can bo
cleaned in the 24 hours “Jig engine and ma
chinery being first rate” so that plunters
sending rice to this mill may calculate within
a few days when they cun receive it ready for
market. The mill will furnish barrels when
ever required at 87£ cents each, and wilHand
rough rice from tho deck of vessels ata ct. per
bushel. The proprietors have erected on the
premises a rungo of very secure and lire proof
brick buildings covored witli slate for the pur
pose of storing rico when required, hy which
the owner of it, may uvoid the expense of
dravages, &o. und preserve its good order for
readier sulc. Notice will be given the Fac
tor when the parcel for him is commenced,
that he may doLormino in time, to have it stor
ed, or receive it from the mill as soon ns beat.
In case it is not taken away when turned out
of tho mill, it will be put. into store and the
