|CJ-» Our own Am ms.—Wo have tho pleasure,
(hit day. of presenting the Georgian to our wodori, in
a now and beautiful dross, principally from tho Foundry
of E. White, Esq. of Now York.
Tho steady and liberal patronago which has hitherto
[ boon received by tho Georgian, and which haa been
the more grateful because rondcrod freely, and without
[ solicitation on our part, demands our sincere acknow-
I lodgments. As the only and proper return in our pow«
[ cr, it has ever been our aim, regardless of expense,, not
I nlono to render our publication worthy of its patrons by
neatness in Ha typogrnphicar erobelfishmonts | but by
the cxerciso of an industry which has never tired, to
render U the medium efthe earliest and most correct^-
teUinence, to tho commercial community, and by the
#up&rt«fwhi> wo believo to bo correct political doe-
trine*, to advance the true interests of our nativo state,
and Uie general prosperity of our linppy country.
In our Nows Room will always bo found Iho latest
.papers from all parts of the Union, either by regular
•course of Mnil, or by vessel, and upon our Bulletin any
intelligence of interest received by extra sheet or other-
wise, with a report of arrivals at this port aa sooh os
received.
Tho advertising patronneo of a newspaper is that
upon which it is principally dependent for support, and
which of course, woaro most anxious to secuto. The
Georgian has for many years received a largo proportion
of these agreeable and interesting articles of mcr-
•cantilo intelligence ; and as it is the evidont interest
of every individual when paying foe. tho insertion
uf his advertisement to sccuro the most extensive cur
rency to it.that being tho valtio received for his expendi
ture, it is duo both to oursolves and our friends to say,
that our circulation is moro extensive than any daily
publication in this State, and that our now type,
which comprises a handsome assortment of tho ornamen
tal, as well as the plain material, will cimblo us to dis
play their favors to (he best advantage.
|CP Mr. Georoe Robertson, formerly Editor of
tho Georgian, has been since February last, and will
continue to bo associated in its publication.
