T O ALL AFFLICTED with those trou blesome affections, an immediate use of this highly eolobrated Specific is only neces sary to convinco tho most incredulous of its possessing qualities superior to uny other medical preparation yet discovered. Since the discovery of this invahmblo medicine, numbers havo experienced its salutary ant. happy effects.—Its mild an;! gentle operations aro much extolled by those who havo used it. In all cases of coughs, colds, asthmas, and other consumptive affections, by the use of this article they havo boon enabled to defeat an enemy whoso attacks would otherwise havo been followed by the most alarming con sequence. This specific has relieved and cured the most violont cases in which other medicines have failed to givo any relief. It operates bjr gentle expectorations and may be given to infats and children with the great est safety. Do La Monterat’s Columbian Vegetable Specific has stood the test of experience and proved itself tho most valuable remedy ever discovered for tiie cure of Consumption and Pulmonary affections of every kind. Tho following certificates, just received front highly respectable gentleniou will show its value: Baltimore County, Feb, 14th 1829. Gentlemen—I feci it my duty to acknowl edge the groat benefit I havo derived from tho use of Do La Monterat’s Columbian Vegeta ble Specific. 1 do not like to Bpeak of tho Medicino in the exalted terms in which I csti- mate it, I will, therefore, os briefly as possible, givo a history of my own situation, with tho effects produced by this valuable medicine.— I havo been, for tho lost five or six years, la boring under a pulmonary Consumption, pro nounced to bo such by tlio attending physi cian, during which timo I have consulted many physicians, taken much medicine, but till to but littlo purpose. Tho 12th of March, 1828,1 puked blood fur tho first timo, and con tinued so to do for several days in succession, and on the 14th ofthe same month was con fined to my bed, where I lay for two months until I was reduced to such a state of debility, that my friends began to despairofmy recove ry. I had made uso also of all the popular remedies without benefit, nnd having acciden tally heard of this Specific, I determined to give it a trial, anticipating from tho uso of it, no hotter result than had attended the usa of ell tlio remedies I had taken; but in this I was happily disappointed. At my very lowest state 1 commenced tho use of this Specific. I took the first doBc at night in a little herb tea, sweetened, which throw mo in a gentle per spiration and procured for mo a good night’s rest. I continued to take tho medicino ns di rected, and in about five days my cough was completely stopped and havo not had any re turn Bince. I am now perfectly satisfied of tho superior quality of this Specific over every other medicine offered for the euro of the above disease. You are at liberty to use this letter in any way you may think proper.— Yours respectfully, (Signed,) JOHN R. ELLICOTT, Baltimore, Feb. 19th, 1829 I, Joseph N. Ruckle, do hereby certify, that for upwards of six montlis, I was eovcrdly af flicted with a pain in my breast, accompained with a very bnd cough and aliortnosBof breath, and every indication (in the opinion of a pins- ician) of approaching consumption; after having been persuaded by my parents, I was induced to make trial of De La Monterat’s Colombian Vegetable Specific, and the uso of three bottles completely restored mo to health.
