Gentlemen—l feel it my duty to acknowl

use of Do La Monterat’s Columbian Vegeta,
bio Speeitie. I do not like to speak of the
Medicine in the exalted terms in which I esti

give a history of my own situation, with the
effects produced by this valuable medicine.—
I have boon, for the last five or six years, la
boring miller a pulmonary Consumption, pro-
notmeod to be such by the attending physi
cian, during which timo I have consulted
many physicians, taken much medicine, but
all to hut little purpose. The 12th of March,
1826,1 puked blood for the first time, anil con
tinued so to do for several days in succession,
nnd on the 14th of tho same month was con
fined to my bud, where I lay for two.months
until I was redtiecd to such a state of debility,
that my friends began to dospairof my recove
ry. I hud made use also of all tlio popular
remedies without benefit, slid having aecidon-
tally hoard of this Specific, I determined to
give it a trial, anticipating from tlm uso of it,
no better result than had attended the uso of
all the remedies I hud tukon; lint in this I was
happily disappointed. At my very lowest
stute I commenced the use of this Specific
I took tho first dose at night in it little herb tea,
sweetened, which threw me in a gentle per
spiration and procured for me a good night’s
rest. 1 continued to take the medicine op di
rected, nnd in about five days my cough was
completely stopped und have tint had any re
turn since. I urn now perlbctly satisfied of
the suporior quality of tins Specific over every
other medicine offered for tlio euro of the
above disonBc. You arc at liberty to nso this
letter in any way you may think proper.—
