Sir—I have analyzed your Groats nnd Bar
ley Powder, which you, having His Majesty’s
Letters Putcnt for the solo manufacturing of
the same, properly denominate “PatentBau
lky and Patknt Groats.” I have no hesi
tation in declaring them to be genuine pow
ders of the Jinest Hurley and Oats I oversaw.
I consider it a public advantage, and of great
importance in the medical world, that by your
mode of preparation, avalunble, fine, mucila
ginous beverage and food may bo obtained in
a few minutes.
I have also analyzed some samples,—imita
tions of your articles,—which are “warrant
ed free from adulteration, “these I pronounce
to bo composition of different meals, conse
quently, neither pure lhirley-watcr nor Oat-
gruel can be made from them.
