by mistako from Mrs. Mann’s Boarding
llouse, in New York, in the Fall of 1828,
since which nothing lias been heard of it. A

same time, brought to this city, ami has been

An Act
To os tend tho timo for fortunate drawers in tho'Land
Lotteries of eighteen hundredjand eighteen, eighteen
hundred and nineteen, and eighteen hundred and
twenty-ono. to tnko out grants for tho lands thus
drawn, and after the timo therein specified, to vest
the same in the Mote.
B R it enacted by tho Senate and House of
Representatives of tho .State of Geor-
f iain General Assembly mot, and it is hcre-
y enacted by the authority of the same, That
every person who was a fortunate drawer in
tho fatal lotteries by the authority of the arts
passed on tho fifteenth day of December,
eighteen hundred and eighteen, on the six
teenth day of December, eighteen hun
dred and nineteen, cp/i on the fifteenth
day of May, eighteen 1 hundred and twen
ty-one, shall have until tho first dtiy.of
November, eighteen hundred and thirty, to
take out his, her or their grant upon paying
into the Treasury tha sum of eight dollars.
S m. 2. And bo it further onneted by tho au
thority aforesaid, That from and after the first
ilny of November, eighteen hundred nml thir
ty, tho lands so drawn ns aforesaid, and not
granted, shall revert to ami become tho prop
erly of the State.
N.v.O. And be it further enacted, That
ihis act shall not extend to any lot or lots of
land, drawn by orphans until three years af
ter tiu* said orphans shall have arrived at the
ago of twenty-one years; nor to any lots
drawn by idiots or lunatics or persons who
have departed this fife since they gave in for
a draw or draws in said lotteries of 1816,1819
anil 1821, and whose estates are unrepresen
ted, nor to any lots number ten and one hun
dred set apart Jbr tiie purposes of public edu
cation.
N v. *1. And ho it further enacted, That all
laws and parts of laws militating against this
act, he and tho same is hereby repealed.
See. 5. And bo it further enacted by tin
authority aforesaid, That it shall bo tho duty
of his Excellency the Governor, to cause this
act. to ho published in nil tho public Gazettes
of this State, onco a month, until tho first
day of November next, and Hint he cause the
expenses of such publication to be paid out
of tho contingent fund.

The Savannah Steam Rice Mill

this month, and having heat all the old ltice
on hand is now in complete order for the re-
ccptiou of the new. crop, having plenty of
room mid separate bins tor each Jot. ‘The
mill will wo kept going night and day ns soon
ns tho supply will warrant it—It is now ascer
tained t hut‘from 80 to 100 barrels can he
cleaned in the 21 hours “the engine and ma
chinery being first rate” so that planters
sending rice to this mill may calculate within
a few days when they can receive it ready tor
mark'd. The mill will furnish barrels when
ever required at 87£ cents each, and will land
rough rice from tho Hock of vessels at n ct. per
bushel. Tho proprietors have erected on I he
premises a range of very secure and tire proof
briek buildings covered‘with slate lor the pur-
pose of storing rice when required, hy which
the owner of it, may avoid the expense of
drayagos, &.c. and preserve its good order for
readier sale. Notice will he given the Fac
tor when the parcel for him is commenced,
that he may determine in time, to have it stor-
