drawn, and after tho tiiuu therein specified, to vest
tho same in tho state.
B E it unacted by the Senate ond House of
Representatives uf the State of Geor
gia in General Assembly met, and it is here
by enacted by tho authority of the same, That
every person who wus a fortunato drawer in
the land lotteries by tho authority of the acts
passed on the fifteenth day of December,
eightoon hundred and eighteen, on * tho six
teenth day of December, eighteen hun
dred mid nineteen, and on the fifteenth
day of May, eighteen hundred and twen
ty-one, shall have until tho first duy^of
November, eighteen hundred uud thirty, to
take out his, her or their grant upon paying
into tho Treasury the sum of eight dollars.
See. 2. And lie it fiirthcr enacted by tho au
thority aforesaid, That from and after tho first
day of November, eighteen hundred and thir
ty, tho lands so drawn as aforesaid, and not
granted, shall revert to and become tho prop
erty of tho State.
Sec. 3. And bo it further enneted, That
this act shall not extend to any lot or lots of
land, drawn by orphans until three years af
ter tlie said orphans shall have arrived ut the
ago of twonty-ono years ; nor to any lots
drawn hy idiots or lunatics or persons who
have departed this life since they guvo in fur
a dr iw or draws iu said lotteries of 1318,1810
and 1821, and whose estates uro unrepresen
ted, nor to any lots number ton uud one hun
dred set apart for tho purposes of public edu
cation.
Eoe. 4. And bo it further enacted, That all
laws and parts of laws militating against this
act, bo uud tho sumo is hereby repealed.
Eoc.5. And bo it further enacted by the
authority aforesaid, That it shall be the duty
of his Excellency the Governor, to cause this
act to be published in all the public Gazettes
of this State, oncoift month, until tho first
day uf November next, mid that lie cause the
expenses of suelt publication to bo paid out
of the contingent fund.

T HIS establishment commenced opera
tions for tho season, tho beginning of
this mouth, und having heat all tlio old llico
•m hand is now in complete order lbr the re
ception of thu new crop, having nlunty of
room and separate bins for each lot. Tho
mill will wo kept going night ami day as soon
as tho supply will warrant it—It is now uscer-
taiued that from 60 to UK) barrels can be
cleuncd in tho 21 hours “tlie engine and ma
chinery being first rate” so that planters
sending rice to this mill may calculate within
u few duys when they can receive it ready for
market. The mill will furnish buvrels when
ever rrotiired at 87i cents each, uiul will laud
rough rice from the deck of vessels ut A a ct. per
bushel. The proprietors have erected on the
premises a range of very secure and fire proof
brick buildings covered with slate fur tho pur
pose of storing rico when required, hy which
the owner of it, may avoid tho expense of
drayuges, &c. and preserve its good ordor.fbr
