Sir—I have analyzed your Groats and Bar
ley Powder, which you, having His Majesty's
Lotters Patent for the solo manufacturing of
tho same, proporly denominate “PatuntBau
lky and Patent Groats." I have no hosi-
tatian in declaring them to bo genuine pow
tiers of the finest Parley and Oats I ever saw.
I consider it a public advantage, and of great
importance in the medical world, that by your
mode of preparation, a valuable, fine, mucila
ginous beverage and food may bo obtained iu
d few minutes.
I have also analyzed some samples,—imita
tions of your articles,—which ore "Warrant
ed free fVoni adulteration, "these I pronounce
to bo composition of different meals, conse
quently, neither pure Parley-water nor Oat
gruel ran be made from them.
I am, Sir, your obedient servant,
RICHARD CLARKE.
To Mr. M. Rotijnbon.
The above testimonial, from a gentleman
who has already rendered tho public much ser
vice by exposing various deleterious mixtures
and adulterations in articles of general con
sumption, added to tho recommendation of
tho medical profession, make it unnecessary
for the proprietors to do more than state, that
none are Genuine which do not bear tho words

introducing them in this city for medicinal and
other purposes, have just received a smul)
