Do la Montorat’s Columbian

kind—the most valuable remedy ever dis
covered for tlio euro of consumptions aud
all discuses oftho breast and lungs leading
to consumptions.
T O ALL AFFLICTED with those troii.
blosomc affections, an immediate use of
thi« highly celebrated Specific is only ueecs-
sirry to conviuco the most incredulous of its
possessing qualities superior to nuy other
medical preparation yet discovered. Shim*
the discovery of this invaluable medicine,
numbers have experienced its salutary and
happy effects.—Its mild and gentle operations
are much extolled by those who have used it.
In all cases of coughs, colds, asthmas, und
other consumptive affections, by the u*o of
this article they have boon- enabled to defeat
an enemy whose attacks would otherwise
have been followed by tho most alarming con
sequence. This specific lias relieved uml
cured the most violent cases in which other
modicinot; have failed to give nuy relief. It
operates by gentle expectorations und may
be given to infats aud children with tlio great
est safety.
t Do La Moaterat’s Columbian Vegetable
Specific has stood tlio test of experience and
proved itself the most vuluublo remedy ever
discovered fur the cure of Consumption and
Pulmonary affections of every kind.
The following certificates, just received
from highly respectable gentlemen will show
its value:
Baltimore. County, Feb. 1 Ath 1829.
Gentlemen—I feel it my duty to acknowl
edge tho groat, benefit I have derived from the
use of Do La Moaterat’s Columbian Vegeta
ble Specific. I do not like to speak o? the
Medicine in the exulted terms in which I esti
mate it, I will, therefore, as briefly us possible,
givo a history of my own situation, with the
effects produced by this valuable medicine.-—
I have been, lor the last five or six years, la
boring under U pulmonary Consumption, pro
nounced to be such by tho attending physi
cian, during which time I have consulted
many physiciuns, taken much medicine, but
nil to but little purpose. The 12th of March,
1828,1 puked blood for the first time, and con
tinued so to do for several days in succession,
und on tho 14th of the same mouth was con
fined to my bed, where I lay for two months
until I was reduced to such a state of debility,
that my friends began to despnirof my recove
ry. I liad made use also of all tho popular
remedies without benefit, and having acciden
tally heard of this Specific, I determined to
give it a trial, anticipating from the use of it,
no better result than had attended tho use of
all the remedies I had taken; but in this I was
happily disappointed. At my very lowest
state I commenced the use Of this Specific.—
I took tlio first disc ftt night in a little herb tea,
Btvcctcnsu, which throw mo in a gcntlo per
spiration und procured for mo a good night’s
rest. I continued to take the medicine as di
rected, and in about five days my cough was
completely stopped and have not had any re
turn since. I urn now perfectly satisfied of
tho superior quality of this Specific over every
other medicine offered for tlio cure of tho
above disease. You aro at liberty to use this
letter in any way you may think proper.—
Yours respectfully,
(Signed,) JOHN R. ELLICOTT,
Baltimore, Feb. 10/A, 1829
I, Joseph N. Ruckle, do hereby certify, that
for upwards of six months, I was scvcrdly uf-
flicted with a pain in my breast, accompuincd
with a very bad cough and shortness of breath,
and every indication (in the opinion of a phis-
lcian) of approaching consumption; after
having been persuaded by my parents, I was
induced to make trial of I) e La Montcrat’B
Colombian Vegetable Specific, and tho use of
three bottles completely restored mo to henlth.
