B E.it on acted by the Senate and Ilousoof Representatives of tho Stato of Geor gia in General Assembly met, and it is here by enacted by the authority of the same, That every person who was a tortmmto drawer in tho land lotteries by the authority of tho acts passed on tho fifteenth day of December, eighteen hundred ami eighteen, on tho six teenth day of ’Doccmbur, eighteen bun- tired nnd nineteen,' and on tuo fifteenth day of May, eighteen hundred and twen ty-one, shall have uutii the .first day,of November, eighteen hundred and thirty, to take out.his, her or their grant upon paying into tho Treasury the sum’ of eight dollars. And bo it further enacted by the au thority aforesaid, That from nnd after tho first day of November, eighteen hundred and thir ty, the' lands so drawu as aforesaid, and not granted, shallTovert to and beoojuo tho prop- erty of tho State. And ho it further enacted, That this act shall not extend to any lotor lots of laud, drawn by orphans until three years af ter the said orphans shall have arrived at the ago of twenty-0110 years ; nor to any lots drawn by idiots or lunatics or persons who have departed this life.since thoy gave in for a draw or draws in said lotteries of 1818,‘1819 and 1821, and whoso estates uro unrepresen ted, nor to any lots number ten and one hun dred set apart for the purposes of public edu cation. Sec. 4. And ho it further enacted, That all laws and parts of laws militating against this ac.t, be and the same is hereby repealed. See. 5. And he it further enacted by the authority aforesaid, That it shall be the duty of his Excellency tho Governor, to cause this act to bo published in all the public Gazettes of this State, once a mouth, until tho first day of November next, and that he cause tho expenses of such publication to be paid out of tho contingent fund. I do not like to speak of the Modicitio in the exalted terms in which I esti mate it, I will, therefore, as briefly as possible, give a history of my own situation, with tho effects produced by tiiis valuable mcdiciuo. I have been, for tho lust livo or six years, la boring under a pulmonary Consumption, pro nounced to ho such by tho attending physi cian, during which timo I have consulted many physicians, taken much mcdiciuo, but ull to but little purposo. Tho 12th of March, 1838,1 pukod blood for tho first timo, and con tinued so to do for several days in succession, and on tho 14th of the same month was con fined to my bod, where I lay for two months until I was reilticod to such a stute of debility, that my friuuds begun to desptiirof my recove ry. 1 had made use also of all tho popular remedies without benefit, nnd having acciden tally hoard of this Specific, I determined to give it a trial, anticipating from the uso of it',’ no better result than had attepdod tho use of all tho remedies I had taken j hut in this I was happily disappointed. At mv very lowest state I commenced rite litto uf tiiis Specific.— I took tho first dose at night in a little herb tea, sweetened, which throw mo in a gontio per spiration alid procured for mo a good night’s rest. I continued to take the medicine ns di rected, and in about livo days my cosgli Was completely stopped nnd havo not had any re turn since. Inin now perfectly satisfied of tho superior quality of tins Specific over every other medicine offered for tho cuto of -the above disease.
