The towbn.it Delaware, Schellinger, has just return
ed from Bombay Hook, with brig Win. Penn, nnd re-
ports the brigNew Hanover ashore on the lower part
of Bombay Hook, on her bentnends, and she was not
aide to get to her. 1 havtt chartered two sloops, and
leave here to morrow morning before day light with
Hie towboat. The brig is on the lower end nl'Bombay
Hook bar, and wns light when the towboat left her to
day. I am in hojiej that we will be able to save both

do not contribute in any measure to the rcvtontlu of

Be it tmlaincd by the Mayor nnd Atderiliiin, nnd
it is hereby ordained by the authority of the same,
That from and nftcr the pa-sage of this ordinance,
it shall nut hu lawful for any person nr persons, to
bnrgiiin sell or vend by wholesale or retail, any
goods, ware* or merchandise or urticles from on
board any ship or vessel, or froth any pf the whnrves
of tbi* city, brought into the City by suid ship or
vpssel, unless the person or person* so desiring to
sell, shall first obtain a iincnnse, by paying into the
City Treusury, the sum of Fifty Dollar*, with the
usual fees, and un said payment thecluik shall issue
a license certificate, ondet hi* hand ami the seal of
(lie city, which shall he null and void ti* soon a* the
goods, wnres and merchandise are sold, which con
sti uted or made this cargo of said ship or vessel,
und u new license shall he obtained for every new
or different cargo, brought in any said ship or vessel
if the same ho exposed fur sale, or sold un board
said ship or vessel, of on nny wharf.
Sec. 2d. Be it further ordained, That nny person
or person*, violating nr attempting to viulnto or
evude the above section of this ordinance, shall 1m
lined hy the Mayor, in a sum not csceding $100,one
half of which shall go to the itifnrmor.
Sec. 3. Bo it further ordained, That this ntd *
nance shall not effect or operate on ship* er vessel*
Indened with the productions of the Florida* or
South Carohna, of tropical fruits, nor for apple*
nnd cabbages, brought by any ship or vessel into this
port.
Be it fur her ordained, That till ordimmre* or
part* of ordinance, militating against this ordinance
he and the same is hereby repealed.
