Morning, precisely nt 9 o’clock, touching at Hilton
Head and Beaufort forpassengers and freight. She
will continue her regular tripsthroughout the season
by leaving Savannah every Monday morning nt 9
o'clock taking the inland pnssage and urrive at
Chorleitontlienextday. Returning from Charleston
she will leave Holm s &. Co’s, wharf every Friday
morning (until the )st December) at 7 o’clock,
and arrive at Savannah the same day about 8 o’
clock P. M. From and oiler the 3d December she
will loavo Charleston every Fridny morning at 9 o'
clock and arrive at Savannah the same day, iu
•clear weather; and on the first Friday in April next,

arrived at Savunnah without sleeping a night on

duties of City Surveyor, to fix the number of
feet of porticos,railings, enclosures and pnvemeuts,
and to regulate tho same; nnd for the better keep
ing the squares, streets, public places and wharves
and docks of the City of Spvannah freo and clear
of obstructions, aud fpr other purposes connected
therewith.
Sec. 5. "Be it further ordained, That no person
shall bring, lay, or cause to bo brought, laid or put
any' timber, bricks, stones, or other materials for
building, or firewood, goods, wares or merchandise,
nr other bulky thing whatsoever, and permit and
suifer tho same to continue and remain in any
square, street, lane or alloy within the said City for
n longer time than six hours, nor shall any person
permit or suffer any enrt, dray, wagon or carriage
of any sort to stand nnd remain in any square,
street, laue or alloy, longor than such time a* afore
said,” nor shall nny person, without previously ob
taining the written consent of the Rlnyor nnd two
thirds of tho members of the City Council, place,
erect, or consluet, or cause to bo -placed, ejected,
or constructed, in any square, street or luue, or oili
er place, of or in the City of Savannuh, any booth,
