Sic. I. Be it ordained by the Mayor and Al
derioeii of the City of Savannah and H amir Is
th-reof, in council assembled, and it ia hereby or-
daiped by the authority of the aame, That all or-
diuance* or parla of ordinance* heretofore pened
in Council, which vest in the aaid "Georgia His-
torical Society," the said lot iiiimber aavenly three
(73) Lafnyette VVard, upon any condition or lim
itation which ia, or may be therein expressed. or
which in any manner uliall militate ngninat this
ordinance, be and the a.uue are hereby repea'ed.
Sic. 2. And bo it limber ordained by the au
thority aforesaid, that the aaid lot number seventy
three (73) Lafayette Ward, and City, of Savon*

is ton well established to need commendation. We
append for tho curious and scientific an analyst
as iiiado hy mi utile chemist.
1 sulphurctod hydrogen, 2carbonic acid, 3 mu
riate of soda, 4 muriate of nngnesiu, 6 muriate of
lime,. 6 sulphuie of lime, 7 sulphate of soda, 8 sul
phate mngneda, 9 carbonate of lime, and proba
bly a trace of carbonate of magnesia.
In ils action npon the system it is purgative,
diuretic, diaphoretic, and alterative, possosaed of
greater variety of substances and in moro abun
dance, it may be considered ns standing at the head
of nil Saline sulphurous waters. In comparison
it is identical with Ihe Harrowgate springs of Eng
land. containing every active ingradient found in
those waters, if Iho planters of this neighborhood
wore once to get in the habit of using the Blue
Lick Water, they would not do without it for any
consideration. It is put up in well souked barrels
and will keep for any length of time in any climate.
This wntor is from Finley's Upper Blue Lick
Spring Kentucky.
