and it is hereby ordained by the authority of the same,
That ths Canal Company be, and to hereby permitted to

tbetondof the Central Railrord and Banking Company of
Georgia, on the western side of tbe canal and connected
with the canal: Prodded, That the same be located under
the supervision of the Committee of Dry Culture, and that

Two or more approved securities in a sum equal to the

livered free of aU incidental expenses to the government,
in proper vessels or packages, and the price of each and
every article mast be ths same st the respect!vs places of
delivery. Every aeperate package in which one or more do-
sen of tbe above articles are packed, and the boxes, boles or
brrrels in which ths same may be delivered, shall be mark
ed with their contents, the name of the contractor, and the
month and year when pnt np; and, when desired, In good,
substantial shipping order.
Ths contractor must establish agencies at such stations
other than his residence, that no delay mar arise in furnish
ing what may be required; and when the contractor or
agent fails promptly to comply with a requision, the chief of
the Bureau of Provisions and Clothing shall bt authorized
to direct purchasss to be made to supply the defidency.un-
der tbe penalty to be expressed in tbe contract; the record
of a requisition, or a duplicate thereof, at the Bureau of
Provfrlonaand Clothing, or at either of tbe navy yards afore
said. shall be evidence that such requisition hu beta made
and received.
Two or more approved sureties. In a sum equal to the eo-
mated amount of the contract, win be required, and ten per
centum in addition will be withheld from tbe amount of
all payments on account thereof as collateral security, to
secure its performance, and not in any event to be paid an-
til it to in aU respects complied with; ninety per centum of
the amount of all deliveries made will be paid by the
navy agent within thirty days after bills, duly authentica
ted, shall have beau piessnted to him.

ton, New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore; Norfolk, Pensacola,

panied hy a written guaranty, signed by one or more re
