G., for repairs, arrived at Kingston on the 24th nit., with two slaves on board, H. 8. Hardy aud WUHam Lewis, who had been couccalod by tho steward of the steamer. It was rumored at Kingston that a number or other negroes woro on board the steamer in Irons. This report induced a largo number of negroes to as somblo and swarm around tljo stcomor in floats, threatening to aitaok her. Tho authorities of King ston woro compelled to search tho ship in order to pacify tho negroes. Tho steward and another negro implicated in abducting and concealing tho slaves, succeeded in effecting their escape when the steamer reached her dock. Tho El Paraguay proceeded on her voyngo.
