his district with necessary medicines, to give them medical
and surgical advice and attention, to visit them at their
places ot abode when necessary, on every Monday and
Thursday, to attend in person, or by competent substitute,
between the hours of 10 o’clock, A. M. and 1 P. M., for con
sultation with out-door parties, and to keep always a com
petent supply of vacclno matter for vaccinating tho poor
and to be furnished physicians, the latter to pay a reason*
ble and proper price therefor, and to fill all prescriptions
signed by any member of tho Georgia Medical Faculty,
provided each of such sprescriptions shaU set forth tire
name of tbe patient and embrace a certificate that the pa
tient resides within the dfstriot of the Dispensary Physician
to whom it is addressed.
Sec. 3. Be it further ordained by the authority aforesaid,
That tho said dispensary Physicians shall be considered,
held and taken aa officers of the dty. and shall be liable to
tbe samo penalties for non-performance or neglect of any
of their official duties aa are now prescribed in tbe case of
other city officers.
Sec. 4. Be It further ordained by tbe authority aforesaid,
That such Pispenzary Physician before entering on the du
ties of his office shall take the oath prescribedfor city offi
cers. and exeente a bond with two securities in the penal sum
of one thousand dollars.conditional for the faithful perform
ance of his office. Each Dispensary Physician shall receive
in full compensation for medicines and services, a salary of
dollars per annum, payable monthly.
