T HE Studies in this University are:—A Theological course
of three years, designed for those who are preparing for
the Gospel Ministry ;
A Collegiate Course of four years, equal to that of other
Colleges in the country ;
AScientificCourseof three years, including, with some ad
dition. all the studies of the Collegiate Course except the An-
clout Languages ;
The regular time for the admission of Students, is at the
opening of the Fall Term, the last Wednesday in August.
Candidates for admission nto tho Collegiate Course must
sustain a satisfactory examination in Geography, Arith
metic, English, Latin and Greek Grammar, Cassur, Virgil.
Cicero’s Select Orations, and Jacob’s Greek Reader ; and
must be at least fourteen years of age.
Candidates for admission Into the Scientific Course must
sustain a satisfactory examination on Geography, Arithmetic,

his district with necessary medicines, to give them medical
and surgical advice and attention, to visit them at their
place* of abode when nocossary. on every Monday and

sultation with out-door parties, and to keen always a com-

oxen and calves, and other cattle from running at large,”
passed in Council. February. 1841.
Sec. 1. Be it ordained by the Mayor and Aldermen of the
city of Savannah end the hamlets thereof. In Council as
sembUri. and it Is hereby ordained by the authority of the
same. That from and after the passing of this ordinance,
the provision* of the above recited ordinance be so amend
ed and extended as to prevent bulls, cows. oxen, calves and
other cattle running at largo within the following limits,

to th« extended Incorporate limits of the city of Savannah
and the hamlets thereof; the Savannah river on the north
