‘swamp lands’within thoir limits,” approved September

In accordance with too provisions of too act of 11th July,
1840. hereinbefore referred to, pre-emption claim* will not
be allowed to any of tho abuve mentioned lead mineral
tracts, to be oITored at Mineral Point, until after tlioy have
boon offered at public salo, and become subject to private
entry. And theso tracts will be sold In such legal subdi
visions as will Include tlio mine or mines at not less than
two dollars and fifty cents per aero; and If not sold at pub
lic salo at such price, nor shall bo entered at private sale
within twelve moths thereafter, the same shall be subject
to salo as othor lands.
The offering of the above lands will be commenced on the
dsys appointed, and will proceed In toe order In which they
are advertised, until the whole shall have been offered, and
the sales thus closed ; but no sale shall be kept open lougsr
than two weeks, and no private entry of any of the lands

A BILL, to be entitled an Urdinnnce to divide the city
into four Dispensary Districts, to provide for the elec
tion of a Dispensary Physician for each of said districts,
nnd to declare the duties and fix the compensation of eacli
Dispensary Physician:
Sec. 1. Bo it orduinod by the Mayor nnd Aldermen of tlio
city of Savannah and hamlet* thereof in Council assembled,
and it is hereby ordained by tlio authority of the samo,

be. nnd it is hereby divided into four Dispensary Districts,
tlio first to cmbrnco nil that part of the city bounded on
tho nortli by the Savannah river, on tho east by Jefferson-
street continued to tlio rircr,on tho south by South Broad-
street nnd tVillinin streot, nnd on the west by the cor;>orate
limits ; the second to cmbrnco all, that part of the city
bounded oti tho north by tho river, on the east by the cor
porate limits, on the south by South Broad-street continu
ed to tho corporate limits, and on tho west by Jefferson st.
continued to tbo river ; tho third to embrace all that part
of the city bounded on the north by William-street and
South Brond-street, on the cast by Jelferann-strcct continu
ed to the corporate limits, on the south by tho corporate
limits, and on the west by the corporate limits ; and tho
fourth tn embrace all that part of the city bouuded on the
north by South Broad-rftreet continued to toe corporate lim
its, on tho enat by the corporate limits, on tlio south by
tho corporate limits.and ou the west by Jefferson-street con
tinued to the corporate limits.
Sec. 2. Be it further ordained by the authority aforesaid.
That there tdiull bo floated at thu first regular" meeting of
Council after the pusxage of this ordinance, and annually
thereafter on the first regular meeting iu July, a Dis
pensary Physician for each of said districts, whose dnty it
shall be to furnish the destitute sick within the limits of
his district with necessary medicines, to give them medical
nnd surgical advice and attention, to visit them at their
places of abode when necessary, to attend in person, or
by competent substitute, at their offices on ercry Monday
and Thursday, between the hours of 10 o’clock A. 51. and 1
o'clock. P. 51., for consultation with out-door patients, and
tokeepalwnysa competent supply of vaccine matter for
vaccinating the poor nnd to furnish physicians, the lat
ter to pay a reasonable and proper price therefor.
See. 3. Belt further ordained by the authority aforesaid,
That tho said dispensary Physicians shall be considered,
hold nnd taken ns nflicen of tho city, and shall bo liable to
tho same penalties for non-performance or neglect of any
of their official duties as are now prescribed iu tho case of
other city officers.
Sec. 4. Be it further ordained hy the authority aforesaid.
That such Dispensary Physician before entering on the du
ties of his office shall take the oath prescribed for city offi
cers. nnd execute a bond with two securities in tho penal sum
of one thousand dollars.conditional for the faithful perform
ance of the duties of his office. Each Dispensary Physician
shall receive in full compensation for medicines aud ser
vices. a salary of six hundred dollars per annum, payable
monthly.

That all ordinances and parte of ordinances militating a-
gainst tills ordinance ho. and tho same are hereby repealed.

ful for any cow. steer, heifer or cnir to bo or go at large
within tlie limits of the city, from the setting of the sun to
the riling of (he same ; and thu owners of such cattle so
found nt large, shall forfeit nnd pay a sum not exceeding
five dollars for each nnd every time nny such animal shall
be found at largo ; and It slml’l bo tho duty of tbo City Mar-
dial and City Constables to take such cattle so found at
large, contrary to the provisions of this ordinance, and im
pound them until tho said fine and all costs are paid, and if

giving at least five days’ notice in one of the public gazettes
of the city of the description of tlie animal aud the time
and place of sale, nnd lie shall pay the nett proceeds, after

to bo paid to tlio owner of such nnimal when required

Ijuircl Grove Cemetery shall bo made by tho Mayor as a-
bove provided for, it shall not bo lawful to inter nny dead
