Into four Dispensary Districts, to provide for the elec
tion of a Dispensary Physician for each of said districts,
and to declare the dutioa and fix the compensation of each
Dispensary Physician:
Sec. 1. Be it ordained by tho Mayor and Aldermen of the
city of Savannah and hamlets thereof In Council assembled,
nnd It Is hereby ordained by tho authority of the same,
That from and after the passage of this ordlnanco, tho city
be. and it is hereby divided Into four Dispensary Districts,
the first to embrace all that part of the city bounded on
tho north hy the Snvnnuah river, on the east by Jefferson-
street continued to the river, on tho south by South Broad-

thereafter on tho first regular meeting In July, a Dis
pensary Physician for oach of said districts, whoso dnty it
shall be to furnish tho destitute sick within tho limits of
his district with necesmry medicines, to give them medical
and surgical ndvicc and attention, to vlilt thorn at their
E laces of abode when necessary, to attend In person, or
y competent aub'titutc, at their offices on every Monday
and Thursday, between the hours of 10 o’clock A. M. and 1
o’clock.]'. 61., for consultation with out-door patients, and

vaccinating the poor and to furnish physicians, the tat
ter to pay a reasonable and proper price therefor. '
Sec. 3. Bolt further ordained bv the authority aforesaid,
That tho said dispensary Physicians shall bo consldored,
held nnd taken aa officer: of tho city, and shall bo llaldo to
tho same penalties for non-performAnce or neglect of any
of their official duties as are now prescribed In the case of
other city officers.
Sec. 4. Ilo it further ordained by the authority aforesaid.
That auoh Dispensary Physician before entering on the du
ties of his office shall take tho oath prescribed for city ofii-
cera. nnd oxecute a bond with twosecurilles in the penal sum
of oho thousand dollar*.conditional for the faithful perform
ance of the duties of hla office. Each Dispensary Physician
shall receive in full compensation for medicines and ser
vices, n salary of six hundred dollars per annum, payable
monthly.
Sec. 6. Be it further ordained by the authority aforesaid.
