his district with necessary medicine*, lo give them medical
nnd surgical advice and attention, to visit them nt their
placos of abode when necos*nry. to attend In person, or
by competent substitute, at tlielr office* nn every Monday
and Thursday, between tho hour# of 10 o’clock A. M. and 1
o’clock.!’. M., for consultation with out-door patients, and
to keep always a competent supply nf vaccine matter for
vnccinatlng the poor, and to lurnish physicians, the lat
ter to pay a reasonable and proper price therefor.
Sec. 3. Belt further ordained by the nutlinrity aforesaid,
That the said dispensary Physician* shall be considered,
held and taken a* officer-, of the cDy. and shall he lialdo to
tho same penalties for non-performance or neglect of any
of their official duties a* are now prescribed in the case of
olber city officers.
Sec. 4. Be It further ordained by the authority aforesaid,
That such Dispensary Physician before entering on the du
ties of bis office shall take tho oath prescribed for city offl.
cers. and execute a bond with two securities In the nenal sum
of one thousand dollar*.conditional for l he faithful perform
ance of tho dut es of hi* offico. Each Dispensary Physician
shall receive In full compensation for medicines and ser
vices. a salary of six huudrod dollars per annum, payable
monthly.
