The lands will be sold subject to the right of way granted
by tho said act or lOili September. 1850. to tho State afore
said, for said railroad, not exceeding one hundred, feet on
each side thereof; nnd therefore the particular tracts ot
1-ind which include tho road will ba sold ns containing tbe
quantities respectively shown by tho official plat*.
Each sale will bo kept open fora time sufficient to admit
of offering all the lands, but not exceeding two weeks, nnd
applications to mako private entries of tho lands offered un
der tills proclamation will not bo received until after the
close of the public sale.

Notice to actual settlers on lands of the United States originally
withdrawn from market on account of the railroad grant.
Under tho act of Congress, approved 3d March 1863, en
titled‘’An act to extend pre-emption right* to certain lands
therein mentioned.” the Pre-emption laws of tho United
State* ns they now exist are extended over tho alternate
reserved sections of public lands along tbe lino of tho rail
road hereinbefore mentioned, where tbe settlement nnd im
provements were made prior to the final allUment of tho nl
