city of Savannah and lminlefe thereof in Council assembled,
and it is hereby ordained by tho authority of tho same.

the first to embrace all that part of the city bounded on
tiie north by the Savannah river, on the east by Jefferson-

o'clock. P. M., for consultation with out-door patients, and
to keep always a competent supply of vaccine matter for
vaccinating the poor and to furnish physicians, the lat
ter to pay a reasonable and proper price therefor.
Sec. 3. Belt further ordained by the authority aforesaid,
That the said dlapen-ary Phyalclana shall be'conaidered,
held and taken aa officer* of the city, and ahail be liable to
the same penalties for non-performance or neglect of any
of their official duties aa are now prescribed in tlio case uf
other city officers.
Sec. 4. Bo it further ordained by the authority aforesaid,
That such Dispensary Physician before entering on the du
ties of ids office shall take the oath prescribed for city offi
cers. anil execute a bond with two securities in tho penal sum
of one thnussnd dollnrs.conditional for tlio faithful perform
ance of tlio duties or his office. Eacli Dispensary Physician
shall receive in full compensation for medicines and ser
vices. a salary of six hundred dollars per annum, payable

A Collegiate Course of four years, equal to that of other
Colleges in the country ;
A Scientific Course of three years. Including, with some od-

The regular time for the admission of Student*, is at the
opening of the Fall Term, tho last Wednesday In August.
Candidates for admission nto the Collegiate Courso must
sustain a satisfactory examination in Geography, Arith
metic. English, Latin and Greek Grammar, Cscsar, Virgil,
Cicero's Select Orations, and Jacob’s Greek Reader ; and
must he nt least fourteen years of ago.
Candidates for admission into the Scientific Course must
sustain a satisfactory examination on Geography, Arithmetic,
Eugllslwftmmmar, Simple Equations in Algebra, and two
.books in Geometry; and must bo at least sixteen years of
age.
