Th‘e academic year is divided Into four quarters of eleven
weeks each,as follows:
First quarter commences October 10th. and ends Decem
ber, 24th, ;
Second quarter odmmeness January 1st, 18M, and ends
March 18th.
Third quarter oommenesa March 18th, and ends June
10th.
Fourth quarter commences Juno lOlli, and onds August
27th.
The academy Is organised Into five departments—^Prima
ry, Intermediate, Grammar, Classical, and Young Ladles’.

for the laat three years principal of a female academy in
this State.
The Classical Department will be under the charge of Mr.
Isaac F. Csuv. a graduate of Drown University, fur two
years classical teacher in the High School in Providence,
and for the Inst six years principal or the High School, In
Warren. Rliodo Island.
The Grammar Department will be under the charge of B.
Mauto. as heretofore.
The Intermediate Department will be taught by Mr. HOT

a systematic course of instruction in Commercial Law for
those who propose to engage in mercantile pursuits.
The Law Library, which is constantly Increasing, con
tains now about 14.000 volumes. It Includes a very com
plete collection of American and English Luw, and tlio prin
cipal works of the Civil and other Foreign Law. It is open
to students, and warmed and lighted for their use during
both terms and the winter vacation.
Tlio first term of each academical year begins in the last
week of August, and the second term in the last week of
F'obrunry ; each term continues twenty weeks. 8tudents
arc admitted at any period of a term or vacation. The fees
are $50 a term, and $25 for linlf a term. For this sum stu
dents have the use of the Law Library and text books, and
of the College Library, and may attend all tho courses of
C ublic lectures delivered to tho under graduates of the
