That from and after the passage of this sot all persons
shall be qualified to vote at electiuns for Mayor and Alder
men of the city of Savannah aud the hamlets thereof, who
arecltlxeusof the United States, have resided in tho Stale
of Georgia for one year immediately preceding tho election
anu within the corporate limits of Savannah for one month
immediately preceding their registration, and continue so
to do up to the time of election, who have attained the age
of tweuty-one years, have paid all city taxes or have in
thoirown right sufficient real estate to satisfy any tax exe-
cutlonc which may be against them, wiio have made all re
turns required by the ordinances of the city, and have been
