men of tue city of Savannah aud tho hamlets thereof, who
are citizens of the United Statos, have resided In tho state
of Georgia for one year Immediately preceding tho election
and within the corporate limits of Savannah for onu month
immediately preceding their registration, und continuo so
to do up to the time of elootlon, who hnvo attained the ago
of twonty-ono years, have paid all city taxes or havoTn
their own right sufficient real estate to satisfy any tax exe
cutions which mny be against them, who havo made all re
turns required by the ordinances of the city, and have been
