A N article founded upon scientific principles.compound

Tliis worm is usually found in thesninll intestines, and Is
the worm most common to children, yet it is not entirely
confinod to thorn, a* adults hare frequently been known to
suffer with them. Tim symptoms most prominent while
affected with this worm, are hardness and fulliiess of the
belly, slimy stools, looseness of the bowels, picking at the
nose, a blueish streak under tho eyes, fro. If you.or any ol
your children have any of the above symptoms, Hobeu-
sack’s Worm Syrup can safely be depended upon—by using
it you have a certain, safe and speedy cure ; and If nftei
using it according to the directions tho patient is not re
stored to health.and tho worms thoroughly eradicated from
the system, you can rest assured there Is no remedy beyond
the grave, as for fall, there is no such word as fail with
those who uso my Worm Syrup.
Ascnrldcs, or Small Thread Worms.
These worms, to which tho human sytem is liable, are
most troublesome of all others. They are generally to be
found In the rectum, and If allowed to remain, from the ir
ritation they produce, lay the foundation for serious dlsor
ders, such as Inflammation of tho bowels, and other de
rangements of the stomach. The best and safest medicine
that CAn be used is Hobensack’s Worm syrup. Such is the
astonishing power of my medicines over Ascarndics.that
I defy nny ono to produce a case where my Worm Syrup
and Liver Pills are recommended to bo used they will nol
cure. All that is necessary is to use the syrup in accord
ance with directions on each bottl n ; and in case a gentle
K IIto Is required in order to allay tho irritaiion they
ce. the Liver Pills, by their sympathising action and
healthy operation upon the bowels, is the most pleasant

HOBENSACK’S LIVER PILLS.
No part of the system is more liable to disease than the

The symptoms of Dyspepsia, and its various diseases are
dizziness in the head.heartburn, oppression after eating

cough* and colds, which are within the reacli of any medi

remedies in the early stages of consumption.
Mr. Rice in idacing this articio before the public, claims
not to havo discovered or ingeniously compounded medi
cines hitherto unknown, or known only as sc|iarate reme
dies or iu such combinations as prevented the roll force ol
their beneficial effects. Nor does he aver that his cough
candy has tho approval of thn - entire medical faculty.” or
has been recommended by the *• most enlightened physi

fered severely from bronchial affection, attended with night
sweats and coughing, he applied to one of the faculty whoso
prescription afforded such speody relief and resulted in such
perfect cure that ho was induced to obtain a knowledge ol
the ingredients and the manner iu which they might bo
properly compounded with sugar to give them a convenient
and palatable form, since which he hns had tho satisfaction
of administering it successfully In many cases. The ingre
dients of which tills candy is composed, among which Wild
Cherry is the principal, aro perfectly harmless, and may be
taken by persous of all ages at all time*. Unlike many of
the cough candle* now offered for sale, purporting to be
the product of profound medical research, hut which in
reality are the concoctlvna ofgeninocandy makers, tills ar
ticle is not expected to cure *' all the ills that flesh is heir

mentioned, and instead of being composed of the poorest
quality of sugar, infused with the extract of hoarhound. It
is made from sugar in its highest state ol perfection, and
contains well known and approved remedies. Try it. nnd
its intrinsic merit will call foith a spontaneous approval
