clearing sand and mud from the Bavannah river, with the
Aat boat or scow attache'!, and owned by the said lilmi
lant*. was lying at anchor in said Bavaiiiudi river, at a
place on the south side of tlie channel of said river, at and
neat a place in said river called Tlie Wreck*, and within th*
ebb and flow of the tide in n*id river, and within the admi
ralty and maritime jurisdiction of said Court, tlie steam
ship Flat© or Georgia, on a voyage from I'liiUdolphin to Sa
vannah, approached the ©aid Dredge Boat nod fiat or Srtiw
attached, aud soon thereafter struck the said scow, cutting
in two the deck plank* of tlie saidfcow at the outside cor
ner, foiclng the said scow so violently against the said
Dredge Boat a* to start some of her planks, cause the
oakum to apew out, break tlie fastenings, and otherwise so
greatly injure the said Dredge Boat a* to cause her to leak,
and shortly thereafter to sink In the said river; that they,
the said libellants, have, at great expense, caused the said
Dredge Boat to be raised and repaired, and have otherwise
sustained damage in the premises by reason of such colli
sion ; and said libellants pray, in their libel, that process,
iu due form of law, may issue’ against tho said steamship
State of Georgia, her engine, machinery, boats, tackle, ap
parel and furniture.and that tlie said Court will pronounce
tor the damages, aud decree the same to he paid, with costs,
and for such other and further relief and redress as to right
and justice shall appertain, aud the Court is competent to
give in the premises.
And whereas, the Honorable John C. Nicoll. the Judge of
said Court, hath ordered and directed, the twenty third day
of February instant, for all |>er.«ons in general who have, or
pretend to have, any right, title, or interest therein, to In
